I've had it for years. Great maps for the whole world. Works offline. Many, many features. A lot of information about the terrain. Routing. A few different distinctive map types to choose from general purpose maps to topographical maps ( good for driving, hiking, MTB, city tours etc.) many overlays. All trails are on these maps. Customise it to own needs. Every terrain detail is on these maps. You always know where to go.

OSMAnd is my go-to for exploring my area. It provides unique details like pedestrian warnings and stop signs that other maps miss. GPX tracks are easy to record. However, the UI is unintuitive. The "Configure Map" button and sidebar are confusing, with overlapping functions. GPX tracks should be easier to access, and adding stops requires effort. In "Maps and Resources," live updates and downloads should come first. Still, OSMAnd is functional and fun, especially seeing my edits live.

The map screens are very comprehensive however this is what makes it impossible to use as a gps automobile driving app because the screen is too busy. This app doesn't even have 65% of street addresses in USA so it really isn't a viable fully capable app. I don't mind paying for the app once & paying for each map I need but this is subscription based at $40 a month. I know I'm not the only person who believes this is way too expensive even for a gig economy delivery person.

It doesn't have the ads and information overload that google maps does, however it also lacks some quality of life improvements, even basic stuff like being able to orient text to the rotation of the map. It is open source but has a costly paid version. I'd like to decide between this and google maps, but instead I'm deciding between this and thr openstreetmap website which the app is based on but the website at least functions once loaded, where in the app I had to figure out how to configure.

Not getting it. Consider myself tech savvy. There's no finangling with any other maps system, and I have my local AI cameras marked on my own Google Maps, but with people asking for it I figured I would share somewhere. Adding some on in my town, and ppl responding that it's already marked... nothing showing though, there or at any of the other locations. In edit mode, you can only zoom in/out with 1 or 2 fingers, can't move the map around? Other maps don't require so much messing about to work.

A bit greedy with map limits. Only allowed 7 region downloads ever without paying, and you don't get those slots back if you delete a region you don't need anymore. Also if you delete and re-download the same region, or update a region, that counts as another download.. So realistically you'll run out very quickly if you want a usable experience offline, making it impossible for a longer road trip or travel to detailed areas like Japan with many "regions".

The best offline map you can hope to get, but the GPS either has to have no voice prompts or LITERALLY informs you of the new calculated route time every 15 seconds with no way to turn that off. GPS would be absolutely perfect if I could just turn every voice prompt off except where to turn. Edit: voice prompts fixed; my only other desire here is the ability to plot your own routes and have the voice prompts follow it. Bonus points if it can recalculate based on your chosen route.

The app itself is great. However, after I clicked on a special offer within the app to upgrade to the Pro annual subscription (a pop-up banner at the top of the screen), they continued to charge me for the monthly subscription as well—every month, for the entire year. I emailed customer support, and they told me there was nothing they could do and wouldn't issue a refund. Unethical...

Fair map app. No address look up, just destination road & cross streets. Choosing destination on the map, but it may not show. Showed 2 houses on a street where there are 12. Routing is ok, does not look at traffic, says trip is 25mi. in 28 min., hour is likely. Rereroutes when you turn off. Sticks to major roads but suggest to many U-turns when changing path. Places are out of date by up to 5 yrs & some all out wrong, never had that name. Audio is good, some nice options there too. But ...

I like everything about this app EXCEPT actually not being able to find/enter valid addresses!!! I enter an address....any common address...and 9 times out of 10, the app cannot find it! If there's a trick to the format for entering the address, then I can't figure it out. The same exact addresses....all of them I've tried.....work perfectly well in every other navigation app I use, including Sygic, Google Maps, Waze, etc My question is ..HOW does one enter an address or POI name to find for car navigation???.
