2025-01-14 | I have an active subscription but the app says I need to renew my subscription. I clicked on renew but then I get an error message saying I already have a subscription. The app refuses to let me load maps or do any other paid fumctions. Of course no one uses boats on the weekend so why would Garmin have support on the weekend? WORTHLESS! UPDATE... customer support said they couldn't fix the problem and said to pay for a second subscription and refused to credit me for my current subscription!!!!
2025-01-13 | I agree with other reviewers regarding price increase and the incontinuity of data from one phone to the next. I paid for the old navionics app and had good access to all of the features. I get that they've added features since 8+years ago but I would guess that most people just use it for reviewing depths and finding general spots they want to try without the need to sit in their boat. Map data didn't transfer to the new phone so I'm SOL.
2025-01-12 | It's a good app been using it for years. One would think to be considered premium the app should have an easy way to show all saved tracks at once per lake. Having to go back n forth through the menu searching for tracks is not premium. I feel like navionics is just taking advantage of customers in price gouging. So sad As of January 12 2025, no improvement or news so dropped rating 1 less Star. At this point I use humminbird.
2025-01-06 | Returning to this app after being away for several years to find the price up 300% and reviewers complaining about bugs. I just used this app for ice fishing depths, maybe 2 mo/yr and that only if the lakes lock up. I think I will just do it old school and sonar through the ice again. App was worth it at 11 or 15 per year but not 50. I don't need fancy colors & courses. Too bad you don't offer a tir system for pricing/features.
2025-01-04 | It's ok. At first I thought it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Now I know the GPS location arrow it shows as you is never accurate. I've learned to just strictly use it as a map, and use my actual sonar to identify my location over structure. So it pretty much makes what I wanted to use the app for useless, but I already bought the years so I'm stuck. So yeah. "YOU ARE HERE" Not really. Not accurate. Prebuy warning.
2025-01-03 | Ripoff. Prices have increased over 300% in the past 3 years for an annual subscription. Worse, is that when I did subscribe and had all of my maps downloaded, switched to a new phone, the app does not keep the maps that I paid for and downloaded. Garmin, your greed is ridiculous.
2024-12-27 | UPDATE: Navionics responded. They gave me instructions to fix the app. It is still not working. Unacceptable for a fifty dollar app. I have asked for a refund. We will see if they do the right thing. Suddenly stopped working on device. Error code says "email navionics." Customer service is unhelpful. Unacceptable for such an expensive app.
2024-12-17 | Updated my review from 3 stars to 1 star as Garmin / Navionics decided to remove the only feature that was useful to me as an inshore angler: Bing Satellite Imaging. I wish I had know they were going to remove it, I wouldn't paid the $50 they charge now, needless to say I won't be renewing an app that instead of making this better, they decide to remove useful features. Many other apps for 1/2 the price that do the same, you guys at Gamin are moving against the tide.
2024-12-03 | Coming up on 1 full year and this bug has still not been fixed - but good news - I found its replacement! For several years now I have been overlooking Navionics irritating and potentially dangerous behavior in which every time you zoom in, out or over, the view changes from my preferred "course up" to "north up", requiring an irritating series of menu drill-downs and button selections. Now that the subscription price has increased 100%, how about fixing that bug? (And no, it is NOT a feature!)
2024-11-12 | From bad to worse, MyChart plotter is navionics software not Garmin. I tried to renew my app subscription but, the app will not allow my payment to go through. I don't know if the new app will communicate with my chartplotter. Before my app subscription expired I was able to plan routes from my phone to my onboard raymarine chartplotter. If you can't even collect the subscription fee, what good are you!? Update, After several trys my payment for the renewal went through. Last renewal was 04/2024 |
