The actual game is good, with pleasing graphics, a variety of challenges, and it's turn-based so you can take your time and think about the right moves. However, the ads have become wildly intrusive in recent times, including banner ads, sometimes with non-optional sound, on the main game screen. The game is now effectively unplayable unless you block them. It seems like a weird move for a developer to kill their own game like that.

Oh no no no, Two Dots, what have you done? I ignored the microtransactions. I ignored/played less with the coming of intrusive, sometimes gross ads. But a web page opening without me clicking on anything and doing the whole malware-y "You've been infected with 3 viruses!"? That's unacceptable. I get that companies need to make money. I get that some companies squeeze for more than they need. Whatever. But if you're going to do that, at least have enough oversight to exclude malicious pop-ups.
