2024-10-04 | Been using them for 2 years for my business and it's been super buggy the entire time. Nothing is ever fully fixed. I am constantly missing important text messages because they literally will not "exist" in the app until a day later and with no notification of their existence. Entire message threads will disappear from the app, but still be visible on desktop. I'm currently figuring out another solution to using this service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. NOT RELIABLE FOR BUSINESS.
2024-08-26 | Work or business user BE AWARE! This was a huge mistake. 1. Non-existent customer service, they take several days to contact you. By all means, they are pretty worthless, no solutions, nothing. 2. Pricey, as they are above average for this type of line. 3. Tax ID us needed to register and be able to text. Oh, and for this registration, you also have to pay an additional $15, and you may be denied. I was denied 3 times. Expensive mistake! I was never granted access to text. Ridiculous!
2024-08-21 | While the app it's self seems pretty solid and has a lot of cool/useful features, the customer support is basically non-existent. An app is only as good as the people behind the scenes who keep things flowing. Our experience has been terrible and seems to keep getting worse. Right now our business phone number has been "lost" so we're without service entirely and not even guaranteed that we'll get our number back.
2024-08-19 | 8/19/24 update. Just released an update. Full of bugs and broke contact info on call list. Still sucks but has features we like so we keep going. The approval process is a big joke. Been with them for a month now and they still don't have text messaging enabled. They are so BAD. They require government documents, tax documents and approval nonsense that just doesn't make any sense. Nobody has ever asked me to do this. And I've had three VoIP companies since December this being the 3rd.
2024-08-15 | I don't review many apps...but my God, this app is so buggy it's almost hilarious. Full factory reset on a Pixel phone with a fresh install of openphone and there are bugs right off the bat. UPDATE: it's over a year later and almost none of the issues are fixed (new phone, multiple factory resets).... If my company didn't require openphone I would've left a long time ago. It's clear their coders don't understand how to make a functional app.
2024-08-12 | They only reason I moved to OP was for Zapier Integration. For now, my zaps work. The app is very lacking. The phone dialer sucks. In 2024, you should be able to start typing a name on the number pad and have contacts appear and filter as you type. You know, like a phone? Messages and phone calls are blended. Terrible. There are NO widgets for Android like direct dial or direct text 1x1s. This needs to be implemented. Sometimes calls don't connect. Service is flaky.
2024-05-18 | The app is promising but has major flaws, especially on Android where client info disappears (while still being present on iOS device, same account.) Thread mentions don't link properly, and and searching numbers should not pull up a similar phone number if the number is not found. This often results in calling the wrong customer. In our experience most of the issues take place on the Android app while the iOS app is more smooth.
2024-04-29 | This app is NOT good. Searching for a conversation via name? Nope. Dedicated call / text buttons? Nope... So when I have 35 phone calls and messages on top of say, a text from "Dennis", I guess I'm supposed to scroll to find it? Really big oversight on their part. These issues could AT LEAST be an option that users could toggle on/off.
2024-04-11 | This app is such trash. Conversations always disappear because the filter feature is horrible. Search doesn't work either. I'm actively losing leads because of how bad this app is. I need to contact people and they just disappear. They need to have tabs for calls and all texts similar to a phone messaging app. Very basic stuff. Can't wait to switch to Dialpad.
2023-07-19 | Texting is not free. When I signed up for Open Phone it said texting was included. Now I am told I have to pay upfront fees and a monthly fee for texting. This company lied by saying texting was included when it really wasn't. Also there is no refunding of money. I signedup for monthly, they changed me annual and will not correct the mistake. Don't use this app. I am very sad I did. |
