2025-01-28 | This is an awesome, low-cost solution. Cameras are a great deal. I started with old cell phones and those worked but due to Android support for older cell phones, I went all-in on the Alfred 2 cameras. I have 3 Alfred 2 cameras and considering more. Currently running camera firmware v1.15 that addressed network lockups. Thanks Alfred! The only observation is the cameras constantly report network instability--even one just a few feet away.
2025-01-27 | I love the idea and, when it works, it's good quality. However, it only works maybe once it off every ten attempts. Unless I have physical access to my camera (old phone) I cannot reliably access the camera and it will not reliably record motion events (making it useless for security). I get a 7001 error. If I have physical access to the camera I can open the app on the old phone and then it remembers how to function, but that defeats the purpose of a security camera.
2025-01-20 | 7007 connection error. I have two indoor cameras with microsd card. Seems sense last firmware update. Cams will give 7007 error. Not sure why, cams have not moved, my wifi and Internet has not changed. Both cams are within 15 feet of the wifi. Resetting the cams does nothing. They connect. Then right back to 7007 connection error. I have a ring cam as well, it has had no issues at all.
2025-01-16 | Changing my review until a new issue is resolved, theres a dark grey bar now at the bottom of my playback videos that cuts off the bottom of my videos, I can only see the entire video in portrait mode which is very annoying. I was enjoying the app and cams but if this isnt fixed soon, im gonna cancel my premium and look at other camera options online.
2025-01-12 | I started off with Alfred using an old cellphone as a camera, because what else was I going to do with it? I liked the app so much that I've purchased 2 of the indoor cameras from Alfred replacing the old cellphone. For a while, I was a premium user, but I found I didn't really need the features, the only one I miss was the ability to create motion detection zones for recording.
2025-01-09 | Update: 1-9-25 downgraded to 2 stars because now in order to watch events u have to download them to your device whereas before they were instantly viewable. Really bad idea. The free version of this app is good. Video quality is nice & alerts u everytime your camera senses motion which can be quite annoying at times. The motion sensors are sensitive that shadows from the clouds trigger it and you're getting tons of alerts sent to you. I had to mute it even though I turned the sensitivity down
2025-01-07 | it was Perfect *Starting February 5, 2025, we will be discontinuing the Detection and Recording features to improve overall service stability. I will possibly be discontinuing my subscription at that juncture. it's why i use the app. paid app. * I see the web viewer option is gone already ~ that's how I view it from work on a PC.. ~removed from auto pay.
2025-01-06 | LOVE IT! The app is everything I could ask for. it only took about 10 minutes to set up both devices. The process was extremely simple and very well explained in the app. The free version is absolutely perfect for basic needs. Supports video, audio monitoring and recording as well as being able to talk into the viewing device and out of the recording device. This comes in really handy when my Dog is doing his 'Olympic Gymnastic Dance Routine' across the couch and my bed. Thank You, AlfredCamera
2025-01-04 | Just use AdGuard to block the ads. The lifetime ad removal is extremely overpriced. Most apps only charge $2-3 for lifetime ad removal. I thought the price was because it also unlocked the full feature set, but it doesn't. Those are locked behind subscriptions only. Also, dropped review to one star for responding to my review in a way that completely missed the point.
2025-01-02 | I have 4 cameras. Activity detection is useless. Lots of false detection. Setting a detection zone works so poorly it is useless. Don't respond that you have no access to my video with these bugs. I have sent 50+ error videos to you over the past year. You have had plenty of time to fix this. I will give it a few more months. Then will cut my losses and go with a diff company that has a product that actually does what is advertised |
