2025-01-28 | Love instacart so far. Only thing I would change is having a "choose replacement" option for all items when checking out for 2 reasons. If you forgot to do it, you can quickly add or remove all at once instead of having to do each one individually. Also, if you need to go back into your cart after checking out, it resets your "choose replacement" setting, and you have to do it all over again. So annoying 🙄 other than that it's great 👍
2025-01-28 | I was charged an unauthorized 99.00 membership fee after seeing the deduction on my bank stmt. Apparently months after using their services. Somewhere in their fine print it says unless you go into the app and change settings so they can't auto charge a yearly membership fee you will be charged. This is 2 years after first using their app. I have to get out last year's bank stmts. bcuz this may be the 2nd time I've been charged. They are refusing me a refund 106.00. I haven't used the app.
2025-01-28 | I've only used them a few times but 2 of those times I was charged for items I didn't receive. They refunded the cost of those items, but not to the card on file. Just as a credit on future orders. Totally bogus!!! The only reason I gave them a 3* rating is the delivery staff were extremely nice and helpful.
2025-01-26 | The initial thought of the app has been long needed. Unfortunately it's not affordable for disabled or elderly with extremely low income. Which are the people who need this app the most. I appreciate the convenience but not necessarily the limits and bias of products allowed in comparison to in store products of the same location.
2025-01-25 | We've been using instacart for about a year and it works great for us. 95% of the time, we have phenomenal shoppers that are experienced and communicate very well. I like that I can select whether to substitute items or not. I can add notes for my shopper. It's a great option for shopping if you want to prevent those last minute purchases or if you don't have the physical ability to shop. I use it mostly for groceries
2025-01-24 | I generally use my computer, but when necessary the app works surprisingly well. The only thing I didn't like was at the end when I went to my cart it tried to get me to do a trial and only showed delivery offers for late in the evening or the next day. But when I went back and started the purchase over again today and all the times for delivery appeared.
2025-01-23 | It's as good as using the store app for most stores that have an app with delivery. Most that offer delivery use indra-cart anyway. Some prices are higher than in-store, but it's the same with store apps too. You can always do a comparison between the two & decide which will be the better deal. There's a discrepancy between the store apps & insta-cart app on groceries available; where insta-cart says likely oos, it's not in store app, along w/missing products.
2025-01-23 | VERY expensive. Like $15 for a dozen eggs kind of expensive, plus service fee, use fee, monthly fee, tip, etc. If you get something expired, they'll CONSIDER crediting your account but no refund option available. Orders may come same day, maybe next day. There's really no telling and the app won't give you a heads up. Theyre obviously riding on being the only game in town. If anyone has access to the funding required to launch something like this service you could easily beat instacart.
2025-01-22 | It seems like every order has an issue. In my last 3 orders for example there were expired items, missing items, completely wrong items, and low quality selections of items. Very frustrating when you're paying such a high premium to have stuff delivered. They offer refunds on expired/damaged/missing items but that doesn't cut it bc you have to reorder in order to get the correct items, which means much more fees. You're better off going to the store yourself and avoiding the frustration
2025-01-21 | I used to love ordering my groceries and having them delivered from Instacart, but because they allow retailers to set their own grocery prices on the platform, I will no longer use this service. I was charged over 9$ for a pack of chicken that was 8$ in the store. When I spoke to customer support, I was told retailers are allowed to set their own prices and they can raise those prices on the platform. I refuse to pay extra for my items just because I order it online. |
