Request a code to access my account. I'm informed the code will expire in 15 minutes. Hours (edit: days) later I'm still requesting a code every 15min and still, nothing. Phone number is correct, but no code. Every debit transaction requires a lengthy phone call to prove my identity. Now they're demanding information on abusive distant relatives to prove MY identity. Over seven years time they've never been able to change my address or phone number, no matter how many people I speak to.

This app is one of the main reasons I'm closing all of my accounts with Independent financial. This is the most clunky piece of junk software I have ever worked with. The software engineers on this app should all be let go, how can you not get simple accessibility and efficient app movement right?? It takes forever to get signed in, paying bills is a nightmare and anytime I want to do anything on this app I end up having to call their awful customer service line. All around shity app.

I like the app but I need a "note" function for my transactions. I'm used to writing a small note on each transaction to remind me what each transaction was. Like taking $100 cash out for... birthdays or groceries. Can you add that to each a spot for each transaction in the Details, PLEASE? THANKS Susan Lopez

No drive-thru window service on Saturday mornings to make a deposit, so installed Independent Financial app to make a deposit. 48 hours later and the deposit still does not show as pending/available . . . . Went to the bank to inquire in person and was told by branch mgr deposit wont begin till midnight (60+ hours after deposit) Will not recommend. Mistake is mine, for not doing my homework, and choosing a better outfit. Ultimately, my fault in choice of provider, and lack of useful services.

After 10 pm everyday you can't see an accurate account balance or any current transactions. Super inconvenient. App needs a lot of work but they wont.put the time or money into it.

Mobile deposit is HORRIBLE. I have a well-lit area and the picture is clear. It's bad enough that I get error after error like "we can't read the account number" (it is bright and not blurry????) or there isn't an endorsement (when I have a "for deposit only" stamp on the back of the check in the endorsement area). But what's worse is after a few if these mentioned error struggles the app kicks me out and I have to log back in with my two-step authentication. Three times I've gone these rounds!!

Pretty frustrating,takes forever for things to sync and get posted correctly..and forget mobile deposit..takes days to post...green dot is easier, faster, instantaneous deposits, and gives you texts...what's the use for a bank anymore?

Mobile deposit is worthlesd... many times it can not recognize amount and says it is different from amount entered when the image clearly shows the amount. Now in May of 22 every deposit says it is not endorsed when it clearly is. I like the bank but this app, especially the mobile deposit portion, sucks. IB should can this developer and move on before they lose customers.

Absolutely the easiest banking app I have used. Concise and well put together in a fashion that enables effortless interaction through out and between accounts. The functions offered by this institution represented as online banking is well thought out and offered in a manner easily obtained by the user.

Was having some problems logging into app after app updated (2020). Called customer service and they got it fixed. Customer service was awesome! Email or call them if your having problems!
