2025-01-07 | I LOVE THIS APP! honestly nothing beats it as other apps have limits on the amount of photos or videos. Keeping to 2min videos is easy if you don't want to pay because it's definitely not necessary to have to pay. I really don't even notice the adds at all. I do however have a suggestion that I would love to see and would even pay premium for: Being able make a manually made photo album (like 2024 family photo) that way I don't have to search each month to find a specific group of photos.
2025-01-06 | This album is AMAZING! It is far above and beyond what I would expect. It stores and organize my memories by person and month, but it also allows me to give my family all over the country the chance to watch my children grow, then, ON TOP of that, every month it give me a play back of the wonderful month of memories & free prints! Then, EVEN ON TOP OF THAT, at the end of each year, it gives me a reel of a year worth of memories! The awesome things are just the tip of the iceberg of this APP.
2025-01-03 | Placing ads above SE results is annoying. Google used to have standards for where and what ads would be associated with search terms. When I search for a specific app, the top result should be the app I searched for, not some ad for another app/product for me to accidentally click on and install when I have no intention of using it. Get your ****in order Google! And app devs, stop advertising with them if they are going to charge you for useless clicks.
2024-12-27 | This app is amazing! It gives me the opportunity to share photos as they happen and family can view then whenever they want on either a computer or phone. I also love the ability to keep the photos from being downloaded if you want. I recommend this to all who want one place to view photos without losing them in a giant message thread or having to store them on your phone. The ability to get prints is amazing as well. The photos were surprisingly well printed on nice paper and dated! :)
2024-12-08 | The app uses predatory practices to extort a premium recurrent fee from every family member who wants to see your photos effectively keeping them hostage unless you want to see low brow rolling ads above pictures of your children. It was already intrusive to have to click through multiple layers of photo ads before you could see your pictures but now it is just exploitative. I wouldn't mind a one time app purchase but a subscription model for a service that claimed to be free is disgusting.
2024-12-04 | Pros: 1. controlled sharing of personal content 2. the app doesn't claim to own anything I share 3. Easy to add/remove people allowed to view your content Cons: 1. newly added, late 2024, ad at the top of the page--I loved that the app was ad-free and, while I plan to continue to use it, am sick of seeing ads within apps 2. Every time you log in, the app opens up and, only after you've closed whatever they want you to see, can you navigate where you want to go. It's brief but unwanted.
2024-12-04 | Love this app! Originally used as a free app but upgraded after a couple of months. I use it for my daughters photo album, relatives all over the world can see and a lot of them comment on photos straight away and we can store some lovely conversations about each photo. It is a bit clunky on a web browser, definately made for phone and tablets, but I expect to be using this for 20 years!
2024-11-29 | Generally great app for what it does. Easy to upload, share and comment on photos of your kids. However, you can't download your own photos from the service in bulk, so very hard to back up your photos for safety, or move to another service later. The only option is to pay for DVD, but who even has a DVD player these days? --- UPDATE: bulk download is only in the app... Who's going up back up hundreds of photos and videos like that to their phone??
2024-11-26 | Edited to two stars because of the ads. I use the free version of this app. I don't want ads above my kids'photos. I'm also upset that the original 3-minute limit for video uploads went to 2 minutes. I pay for another photo storage app that isn't just for sharing photos of my kids, so this may be the time for me to get rid of Family Album. I tried premium once for one month and I don't recommend it.
2024-11-17 | Single best app I've downloaded since becoming pregnant, better than all those self-help or monitoring or advice ones even. This lets us share images instantly with other family, for amazing prices. The monthly inexpensive printouts we take advantage of all the time. The videos make me cry. This app is seriously so worth it, even just the free aspects. |
