UI for resigning and other things feels outdated and clunky, would be nice if I could back up and look at previous moves during the match. Pieces moving feels slow.

Can you please add the possibility to evaluate a finished game with your engine? Of course, it is possible to copy the moves and do it elsewhere, but inside the program would be more straightforward and sufficient most of the time. Thanks!

Update in response to devs reply. 'Practice level makes random moves and does not learn player moves', I'm afraid you are wrong, your AI is more clever than you think. If you defeat the AI the same way several times, it learns and figures out how to combat your winning strategy.. You see, I'm not trying to learn how to be a good chess player, I just like taking my horse out, obliterating the AI players, then trapping the king.. The AI lets you win a few times, then it turns into a good player.

This game is really getting on my nerves. The AI is all over the place. I was on level 3 and had a 40% win rate. I went up to level 4 and it was super challenging but I started to get better and began racking up wins. It asked me if I wanted to move up but I decided to stay at 4 cuz I would still lose if I wasn't patient and playing smart. Then all of a sudden, it spiked in difficulty and just began crushing me over and over. Now I can barely get a win. It's infuriating how inconsistent it is.

Love this app! The design, asthetics, gameplay but...but it has to have time matches and a automatic forfeit for someone who hasn't made a move in 15 mins. Once someone sees they are losing they simply leave the match without resigning and soon or later we have to abandon match. It doesn't seem fair and gets really annoying.

I bought this because whenever I commute I love to play chess. I like the 2 player feature but I wish there is a setting where the board didn't have to switch so we can play facing each other if that makes sense. Other than that it's a classic chess app with no ads, lots customization and you can pick what rating you want to go against.

This superb app is not just the best chess app out there -- believe me, I've tried over a dozen of them -- it's a major reason why I stay on Android. Nobody is better than AI Factory. The gameplay is a pleasure, with a pleasant environment customizable to a multitude of different appearances including my favorite, a red/amber checkerboard and elegantly simple black and white icon pieces, and allow single, partner, or internet human opponent play. Casual mode is great for learning, with a tutor available to suggest logical or even deeply brilliant moves, as well as to show pieces in danger, allow unlimited "take-it-back" undoing of moves. The CPU can operate at a 1-10 level of difficulty to provide you incrementally more challenging gameplay as you learn. A beautifully designed and marvelous app that's not just a great way to learn the game, but a work of art!

Clunky UI, Good AI When playing someone else online, it's difficult to disengage from that match and continue another ai or online match. Though I am terrible at chess, I think the AI is good. The tutorial / learning system is pretty awful and should explain WHY a move is good, not just show what move the computer would take (specifically for moves that require setup and forethought). Edit: fixed typos and clarified final sentence

I didn't like the free version of this app. The ads were annoying and would often cause it to crash. The pay version is very nice. It offers many graphics options and sensible AI levels to play. I have beaten up to level 8. But still struggle to beat level 3 consistently. I think this offers me the opportunity to get better through experimentation. Rather then constantly being discouraged by the swift defeats from very difficult AIs.

After a few years, none of the problems have been fixed. I still can't adjust each sound level, multiplayer has no time restriction, annoying notification spam for multiplayer, no answer to address misclick problems, unnecessary cumbersome to restart a game or start a new multiplayer match (why can't it just have a new game button right in the popup?). Fudge it, I am gonna create my own chess app. It's not that difficult other than the A.I., for which I could just use stockfish UCI engine.
