2025-01-25 | Really good app for vocabulary learning I bought after a short trial, rather than a certain language app I'd never give money to, given the contempt it treats its users with. Reword's preset word lists are great, with the ability to add and remove words as you learn, so you're not wasting time on unnecessary words. Extras I'd like that would help me learn vocabulary quicker is a quick word match (screen tap) game, and details when words can be broken down e.g. aguanieve = water snow = sleet.
2024-12-21 | It doesn't have a a comprehensive database of word. For example, when I try to look up a word, it often is not there's in the database. I have to look in Google translate and then manually put the new words into this app.
2024-12-04 | I really like this app series. It's the only one I could find that has the option for you to type the word in the target language without a letter bank (which gives away the answer for me). I also bought the Italian version.
2024-12-03 | The UI is a bit clunky but when you get the hang of it it's really good for extending your vocabulary over a sustained period of time. Adding your own words to your list is a good feature.
2024-11-29 | Great app. It's simple to use. Great for expanding your vocabulary. The reason for 4/5 stars is that the pictures for the words don't always match, and some of the words don't have the "Used in a sentence" section. Nonetheless, I use it every day and am happy I downloaded it. I use Duolingo as well, but this seems to me a more efficient way to build on my Spanish knowledge. It was recommended to me by a friend, and I will recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning Spanish.
2024-11-17 | This is a great app if you want to develop your vocabulary consistently over a rather long period of time and if you use it as one of the tools in your language learning arsenal.
2024-10-12 | Love that this app only teaches you vocab, I'm doing 121 lessons in addition so this is super useful as it doesn't try to teach the grammar/conjunction that you learn elsewhere. Being able to add words in "my words" means you can get the app to help you with vocab sheets from lessons, which gives you a lot more control than most apps. Simple and effective, I'm learning words much quicker than any other method I've tried
2024-07-22 | This is exactly what I was looking for. The flashcards automatically schedule themselves for review in increasing time intervals. There is also an option to review words without it counting towards your progress. There are thousands of presaved words and an option to add your own. You can skip words you already know. Vocabulary is sorted by by category and top 1000, 3000, 5000. The interface is super user friendly. I'd recommend this app 10/10!
2024-06-06 | Really brilliant app. At first glance I was a little confused, the layout wasn't obvious, and you need to figure out how to navigate it properly. But once you have managed to, this becomes the perfect app for learning quality vocab at a reasonable pace, and going back over them until they're memorised. It has genuinely improved my Spanish and continues to do so every day.
2023-09-30 | I'm a fan. I bought the premium and enjoy it even more. The vocabulary is practical and useful, unlike many apps, and you can progress at your own speed. It also assists with spelling. Be warned. This does not teach grammer or sentence structure. Only vocabulary. You need to have a good understanding of the language to benefit from this app. |
