This is a great product. For those who are having crashes or long delays in uploading photos or files, make sure battery access is unrestricted for the app. I can easily send photos to non Proton accounts via the send option. The only issue is that it's a little slow compared to Google Drive. I upgraded to get more storage, and plan to completely move away from Google Drive

Missing permissions? App says I need to allow access, but no permissions have been denied. Update: It has nothing to do with permissions, my drive is almost full. Great that not even the people answering reviews understand their product. I'm tired of devs always thinking the answer is to clear cache. Maybe you should program your apps to automatically do this in the first place if this is the consistent theme. So 1* stays since they can't even get their errors correct.

I wanted to love Proton apps but I haven't enjoyed them since starting. The Drive is particularly cumbersome. I wanted to replace my Google cloud service for photos with Proton - but there's no transfer option I can find beyond what's already on my phone. And the transfer itself takes forever, even with high speed WiFi connection. And finally it does not recognize all photos. It's the 6th now & it only recognized 1 photo from January (I have many) when I went to do an upload. Wish I could refund

While significant improvements to stability and usability have been made in the last few months, this is still probably the worst app I have ever used. It took me 30 minutes to upload six 5MB JPEGs to Proton Drive because the app would always get stuck in an infinite upload loop (uploads reach 100%, then reset to 0% over and over), or it would outright crash. This was resolved by uploading each image manually. This recent upload issue isn't even the start of everything wrong with this app.

I like Proton. But little by little I feel each app has gotten worse. The calendar & VPN are pay wall disasters and this app randomly logs me out (after updating). I've really been using a different drive app that I prefer but I used to agreed with Protons mission statements. Edit: I was referring to a few years ago when you asked the community about the app icons and changed them based on feedback. We liked that. Now everything is pay-to-use-adequately, no surveys, no feedback requests.

The share function doesnt work like any other share on android. You cant just share a photo to a text message, it shares a link for you to sign up or log in to a proton drive. The app is slow when i look at photos there doesn't appear to be any cacheing of thumbnails because it is like load a web page on a 9600bps modem over dial up. (Not quite that bad, but still slow) plus there is no way to find a picture quickly its just scrolling through a long page of pictures.

Proton docs for mobile is a huge win. Thank you for this ongoing development! Would like to see ability to upload whole folders rather than select-all files, as well as auto-sync items other than photos. Truly unmatched in encrypted yet accessible online storage; use Proton for storing critical files with peace of mind.

I like the idea of Proton's privacy. The functionality isn’t quite there yet. It takes a very long time to open or do anything with a larger document, even on my new fast phone. I can't do first line indents, only indent the entire paragraph, which is less useful. I like that I can do headings. But they don't appear for navigation. It would help to have undo/redo buttons readily available and be able to opt out of editing mode easily so I don’t make an accidental edit while scrolling.

I enjoy using Proton's email service but this one is undercooked as it is right now. I have tried multiple ways of opening a document within Proton Drive and it just won't allow me to view/edit it at all. Opening it elsewhere, like in Google Drive or Dropbox, works fine, so I don't know what the issue is. Hopefully it gets addressed soon but I'm definitely dropping my subscription if I can't actually open/view/edit my files while away from my desktop. Edit: For the developer, it was a docx file

The app is improving but it's not there yet. In the last weeks the app doesn't seem to remember backing up photos and videos. I have to open the app and refresh the photos tab, only then it remember to upload them. Also, I wish they add the ability to back up my phone entirely, such as Google one. My phone is Pixel 9 Pro.
