2024-12-04 | Attempting to install a pass via a web link, it just fails with "issues". Tried reporting the issue via the app, but it just suggests sharing not offering a specific address. I'm stuck. The reception says other guys install passes with no issues, but that depends on a phone.
2024-08-17 | Barely works, just downloaded a pkpasses file for a tour I booked and it won't open it. Not sure where the import function looks but it's not the downloads folder where all the passes you download go. Got a different pass to import a while back by using a file manager to change its location but you shouldn't have to mess like that. Got so fed up just installed another app and that opens today's pass fine. Also you can only delete old passes one by one, so tedious.
2024-07-23 | Very useful app. I recommend it. Only that is missing, is an option (setting) to automatically delete (or archive) the expired passes (date passed). Otherwise, as it is now, it is very quickly cluttered with old passes, and deleting them one by one is not easy nor practical.
2024-05-21 | Automatic updates are disabled even though the switch is flipped on. It claims to have updated the pass but it clearly hasn't because automatic updates are disabled. There are A LOT of suspect reviews for this app now too. I would not recommend this app for anything more than a one time use item and if you have a vendor that sends annual passes through it, ask for another method.
2023-09-12 | The app works for me so far. I've been able to add passes by emailing Apple Wallet passes (pkpass files) to myself from an iPhone or from airlines that send these files via email. Clicking the attachment in the email opens the pass directly in the app and saves it. (You may have to set the your phone to use this app to open pkpass files.) My only complaint so far is that you cannot rearrange the passes in the app without removing them all and then adding them back in the order you want them in.
2023-03-09 | Good, but misses one single easy function that everyone seems to be complaining about: importing new passes can only be done when all existing passes have been removed. Otherwise the only available function is 'Add', and that requires you to have access to a printed barcode (not even a screenshot). Deleting passes can be done with 3 steps: open, show details, delete.
2022-10-25 | WalletPasses is a great application for storing electronic parking and tickets on your phone. I really like the fact that the application will automically brighten your screen to improve scanning of the QR Code. Other applications require this be done manually taking extra time when your are in line. The process of acquiring the pass from an email was very intuitive and easy. I should add that tapping on the QR code quickly enlarges the image for improved scanning. Very thoughtful!
2022-10-25 | app does not have the ability to edit information on converted passes once saved. EDIT: when i scanned my code, the app stated that the code needed to be converted and that ticket issuer may not honor it. and the result was a visually different code. however, i just downloaded swipedex and this app was able to recognize and generate a code visually identical to the one scanned. no conversion needed, indicating to me that the walletpasses app is definitely lacking. i definitely suggest switching.
2022-10-10 | I thought I would use this app to store all my train, plane, and bus boarding passes for an upcoming trip to Europe instead of searching through pictures and PDFs for them. Nope! I thought wrong. Every time I hit 'import passes' the only pass that would import would be an old bus pass from a year and a half ago, none of the 12-15 boarding passes that I had downloaded for this upcoming trip were imported. There needs to be another way to import things manually.
2022-09-12 | Absolutely worthless. I should have the ability to refresh when I get new passes. Instead, I have to uninstall and re-install the app just to import new tickets. Same process to remove used tickets, except the added step of removing them from the downloads folder. I also can't reorder them by date which would be really useful. |
