2025-02-01	Robert Lockett	I only give one star because no stars are not an opption. Ok, so, this app is a good idea. However, the execution is terrible. It updates FOREVER every time I open it. Then, I tried to get regulations for the Columbia River and the app crashes. Of course, I should have known that the same people who bring you the efficiency of the DMV can't get an app right. Can you please try to fix it.
2024-08-08	Patrick Gittings	App is functionally useless. Updates for five minutes across high speed internet everytime you open it, and if you don't feel like watching the progress bar slowly creep along and switch tabs it starts all over instead of updating its database in the background. I can't imagine trying to use it without wifi (in the field) acting like that. Quicker just to bookmark WDFW and go there over internet. Ridiculous.
2024-05-15	Erica Nicholson	Before the latest upda, you could search for a particular river or section of river. When you did that it would zoom into the area on the map and give you the regulations (usually up-to-date) for that area. Now if you search for a river or section of rive#r, then click on it in the drop down menu, only a few rivers will zoom into that area on the map and show the regulations. Most searches don't do anything and clear the search bar making the app basically useless.
2021-06-11	Tyler A.	Great Idea, Terrible Execution I love this app, but it always takes forever to start working so I never use it. By the time it finally loads & works I've already given up & went elsewhere for the info. It desperately needs a setting that allows it to automatically update so it's ready when you need it. Please keep working on it! I'll check in again next year! If I buy a license that is. WDFW is deterring me from that too.
2021-04-18	Bin Tian	Won't even run. Just crashes. Update: got it running a few months later. But then I found a fatal flaw: it's flat out wrong! We went out fishing on the last day of salmon season; the app didn't show any salmon opening in that area. So I double and triple checked WDFW website, including all emergency changes, and sure enough, app was wrong. Such a basic programming error. Is there any testing at all?
2020-09-19	CJ Young	App hasn't been opening, but now without an update and no change to permissions it is opening again. Hopefully, multi-month outages are not the norm. App is convenient but does lack some info on the website and doesn't link to the page you would need to reference when info isn't available in app. With a bit more complete info and stable access this could be a great tool. I would love to see the fish species and prospect info from there site. And help identifying your catch.
2020-09-08	Andrew Hagman	Using a Google Pixel 2 with up-to-date software. - Cannot open the app. I just downloaded it, agreed to everything and when I tap on it to open it (both on the app and in Google Play) it immediately closes and takes me back to Google plays page that shows the option to download, uninstall or open. When I try again to open it, it does the same thing. So, nice idea but it doesn't work.
2020-09-06	Steven Music	EDIT: The app stopped working ???? weeks ago. Lowered the rating from 4 to 1 star. Would give it a zero if I could because IT DOESNT WORK AT ALL. ********* I'm enjoying the app. It is very convenient for finding local waterways and seasons. I would like it better if the details showed the same information as the web site. This would include species found and focus. Stocking info would also be great. The developers should also add the option to get push notifications on rule changes.
2020-09-05	Jeffrey Watson	Continuous updates are slow. I do like the regulations tie in to body of water! It has great potential. 4 or 5 if glitci are fixed. Now I cannot use the app. It is stuck on this stupid page and will not stay on the map page. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Still keeps looping me back to feedback page. Please fix it. Android still not working. Longer than a week.
2020-08-28	Kit Moffitt	This app has the potential to be really great but and the concept is awesome. I have used it in the past and it worked alright but lately, for various reasons (most recent continually reverting to Google play) , it won't. Once they get the bugs ironed out and they can manage the amount of cell data and storage space the app uses, it will be very useful to correctly follow what are otherwise fairly complicated and hard - to - understand regulations.
