2024-05-11 | Actually a very functional app. No need to set up a profile/account if you use guest mode. Does a good job with maps, links to websites, and suggestions based on filters. Obviously was updated and improved since earlier critical reviewers used it. On a par with NPS app, although low usage means not many uploaded photos available. Too bad ODNR is dropping it.
2024-05-10 | The app has a great concept, easy to use once you take the time to understand how it works, the offline packaging is a great feature and works as designed; just make sure you give the app full permissions. There is also a means of using the app as a "Guest User" instead of having to create a profile. It is aashame the ODNR is abandoning this project as it appears that most of the data has been built and ready for use. Seems like most reviews are older and issues seem to be fixed.
2023-02-15 | Great concept, but doesn't work! No matter what area, or size of area, I can only get about 18% downloaded before it crashes. The maps are basically useless when there's no signal on the trail, and it you can't download the maps to use offline, there's no real reason to have the app using space.
2022-12-29 | I hope I get to update this review but for the moment... The app is slow and many of the features are very bug-y including the offline options. This is very frustrating considering how many trails will not have reliable service.
2022-07-14 | I like it. It's not as slow is everyone claims. I assume they've updated it recently. But if course it does need improvements.
2022-04-24 | Needs a lot of work. Super slow. And it is rather intrusive just to set up an account. I don't see why they need anything more than a name and email.
2022-04-16 | Only searches within 25 miles of your location. That's not far enough for much of anything, especially if you're in a city and looking for state parks. Fairly useless for me.
2022-04-01 | Good idea in theory, but full of bugs and mostly unresponsive. Pretty disappointing overall
2022-03-24 | You have to use apps within the app? After a lengthy and pointless account set up, I wasn't able to use it at all. App kept crashing.
2022-03-09 | Haven't even used it yet and found the local North Coast inland trail map is not up to date and the new section has been open for over a year! So glad I did a guest sign in, sounds like it's a real pain to make a profile !!!! Deleting this app right now!!! |
