I love this app, I have been wanting to learn Japanese for a long time and this app teaches the basics and makes it feel easy and fun. After some of the new updates, I lowered my score since the voice feature is doesn't work well and feels awkward to use when I am out somewhere. It was better before.

I will say I like how the videos teach grammar rules that most apps don't teach, and the flashcards are a nice touch and the mini games are fun. Unfortunately this app seems to have no support team for if you have issues. I wish they would fix the bug preventing discord authentication. Or at very least if the support team would respond to issue tickets. My ticket was ignored for several weeks and eventually closed without ever receiving a response from anyone.

I like most of the updates, there's more variety in questions; however, the new speaking questions (where you have to use the mic) don't work. I'm saying "ha," for instance. It says I'm wrong, both times, then proceeds to say "ha," itself. Maybe it's just my American accent, but it's like it doesn't hear me properly.

This will not teach you Japanese, but it is a *great* tool to learn hiragana and katakana, although with the writing practice only stroke count matters and not actual accuracy, and also to *review* Japanese you're already learning. I appreciate that grammar rules are explained (though simplified in some cases). I would like to see more vocab in the lessons, as well as additional lessons such as dates (names of days and months, etc.). All in all it's a very creative and useful app. 👍🏻

This has been super helpful in getting the basics of Japanese down, especially in regards to grammatical structure. I've been using it for about a month and taking notes as I go along. I went ahead and got the subscription so I wouldn't have to deal with ads and learn at my own pace, and I've already earned enough coins for when this one runs out. A great tool for beginners, hope more content gets added soon!

This is a HUGE help to me learning Japanese, especially with the level units. It's great more both beginners and mid level learners. I also love how you can go back and view lessons as to the fact you can skin past the Hiragana (I chose not to) straight to the Katakana. You can also view the alphabet and how the pronunciation changes. It would be even more fun if you could play with friends, you may be able to I don't know because I'm yet to try. This app is awesome, keep up the work ❗💪

Honestly. Does as advertised. A cute way of learning Japanese. I myself am only still on the Hiragana stage, but this app combined with minimal note taking is helping me learn quickly and effectively. Ads are non-intrusive, but can be used to speed yourself along if you run out of energy or something like that. I personally really enjoy it so far and hope that i can eventually understand and potentially speak Japanese fluently because of this app!

Okay, I've gained a better understanding of how this app works. The alphabet cards at the beginning had really overwhelmed me, so I didn't realize that they were alphabets (I thought they were conjugations). But now that I know that this app was capable of teaching the construction of Japanese sentences, I got excited to learn. I'm not a big fan of the tutorial, but I admire the implementation of visuals, pronunciations, and handwriting correction. I wonder if other Japanese apps are like this?

My impression after one week of use is very positive! For something I was initially skeptical about, this really blew away my expectations in terms of both atmosphere and especially functionality! My only gripe is the ads, really. Not even how often they show up, just... the ads themselves are often very, very disturbing.

Duo lingo is great for learning vocabulary quickly, but is quite overbearing. KawaiiNihongo is much more friendly with its teaching speed, and does a phenomenal job of teaching grammar with the vocab. This app has helped me with realistic sentence building more than anything else I've tried. Just finished the last lesson today, and I'm really looking forward to the new ones.
