2025-01-27 | Literally the only thing this game needs are improved text boxes and better translation. Then it would be a real 10/good. Edit: Please note, this review is inflated to 5 stars rather than 3 to improve the overall ratings as I believe this is one of few mobile games worthy of being played.
2024-11-14 | Honestly a hidden gem. If you grew up with old school jrpgs the graphics here is reminiscent of that. nostalgic aesthetics aside, the card-like gameplay is minimal yet systems are quite in depth with different skills, items, crafting, and not to mention characters. Someone did mention repetition but that's mitigated with the different classes and campaign opening up
2024-10-01 | The original DarkBlood was a fun dungeon crawler with room for improvement; DB2 is exactly that. Improved, expansive, fun, detailed & well designed, combining simplicity & depth in wonderful ways. Challenging but generous enough to play for hours or in short bursts, DarkBlood2 is perhaps one of the best distillations of the "just one more room" appeal of classic dungeon crawlers. Highly recommended in spite of some translation oversights (text overflowing text boxes, in this case).
2024-08-29 | The art is good. The optional ads placement and rewards are excellent. The basic gameplay mechanic is pretty simple, unique, and fun. But personally I think it gets boring after a while. I think it's better to keep introducing more and more complexity to the combat mechanic as the game progesses to keep players wanting to improve and learn every fight. It does suffer from some translation and text readability issues, though. However, it is still a good unique game that has its own charm.
2024-07-04 | I had to start over because of a new device but even a year later, I'm loving this game. The old school aesthetic in the game art is very nice, the music is good as well. The gameplay is challenging and the rewards are nice.
2023-01-19 | It's not bad but not good either. There are turns that enemies will skip because they know you are throwing cards away to make better ones but just like the previous title they still won't let you buy bigger hands. Real money buys gems which you use to strength up your weapon. It's the same old farm until your level 1 weapon/magic one shots everything and move to next map. It can get stale pretty quickly.
2022-12-26 | Really love this game a lot, got to about level 352 last game and plan on playing the heck out of both. The English text could use some work, but it doesn't get in the way too much. The pixel art is really beautiful and I'll definitely be playing more games that you release, even if they were to actually cost money. Still glad the game is free and is very f2p friendly. I'd like an "are you sure" message with the Hades and Royal palace options though so I don't misclick bahaha
2022-08-29 | More information about when to use different weapons and what type of enemies are considered animals, demons etc. Also it seems there's no way to make multiple profiles to make new games oe even reset the game. Also some texts o npcs when they are talking go out of the text box so i can mr read the whole conversation of theirs. I can send screen shot if u want
2022-08-09 | Very entertaining dungeon crawler. Has some translation errors that don't properly show item names. It can be a bit repetitive and grinding but the devs put soul into the game that most crawlers on the market are severely lacking. I want to see more characters and maps though.
2022-08-07 | horrible, at first it started out alright with this being my first dark blood game without playing the gaiden one or the first game, i started out the first quest, everything going fine, till i walk into a dead end? no problem i turn back, and while getting through monsters and advancing, i get come across another dead end, again i turn around and i was just stuck in a one way tunnel of dead ends. it was probably some sort of glitch but my god did it piss me off, i am uninstalling this. |
