Needed this for my Android phone. Found it after trying different media server setups and trying other android media players. No streaming service needed on windows where my music resides. Also no need to add windows features like smb1 or the legacy Windows Media Player! It's quick to find files on my private network and quickly scans full directories to create playlists. Haven't encountered a single issue and it works just like it should!
