It's basicly pay to win. Obviously it doesn't start out that way but because abilities are random that means you have little control over your build and you have to pay to refresh the ability list. All that meaning you essentially have to pay for a build that isn't garbage locking you out of higher level gameplay. Speaking of higher level gameplay after a certain point you start running into situations where the devs randomly subtract your health, it's meant to be a "scenario" but it's not.

Its a beautifully simple yet complex game. Its full of depth in the rpg development. The art is well done, and the soundtrack is great. It is really immersive as you play deeper into each dungeon run. It takes planning and can be unforgiving, making you put some effort in. It can get a little tedious churning baddies then exploring the world with an action act after act. But if you like that kind of gameplay then this is totally for you.
