It works as intended but the ads are awful and infuriating. I just want to use the app quick and be able to simply use the flashlight but the excessive ads make it difficult. Not only are the advertisements excessive, but they're incredibly intrusive and annoying to get rid of. Uninstalling immediately, and I don't recommend anyone using this trash.

Wish I can rate this lower. So it has ads, cool most apps these days do. Usually it's a one time fee of like 2.99 or like 6 bucks. How much do you think it would cost to get rid of ads in this app? Like .99 cents? It's just a simple flashlight right? We'll the devs didn't think so! It costs 60 dollars per month to remove ads. I could buy a 1st party video game for less than that, and that's only a one time purchase. You have to pay 14.99 per week to remove ads. That's absolutely wild.

When you need a flashlight, the last thing you want to do is a review. And even if you don't need the flashlight, not everyone wants to leave a review. This app and its developers do not comprehend that. They ask CONTINUOUSLY no matter how many times you decline, relentlessly. Completely and utterly annoying, ESPECIALLY b/c I bought their "Thank You" app and others. IMO anyone who paid shouldn't be hassled. Well, they wanted a review, here ya go. Oh, other than that, great app.

This is basically a flashlight, which does not make sense to offer via subscription fee. Plus, the fee is on the high side, making it not cost-effective for my usage. The app displays full-screen ads. Lastly, it appears that email support is not available.

Downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars. Finally downgraded to 1 star. Been great for years, but something about the app recently changed. Now it has a long loading screen. Very annoying when you need a flashlight now. I talked to customer support, and they tried. After that, the app wont even load if you dont have data. This confirms my suspicion that this app is constantly sending data from my phone to . . somewhere. Simple, I thought you were better than that. I will be deleting this app.

The app takes way too long for an app where the main function is to turn on your phones flash to open (like why does it need that long to load it doesn't even do that much), and then immediately opens an ad(sometimes a timed ad that can take up to 30 seconds to close). Lately it just takes way too long to open it when I need it. Awful for emergencies. I fully understand having an ad for switching in between functions, you're going way too far by having one before you can even use the app.

Something recently changed. When I turn it on, I get a timed ad completely blocking the screen or a 5 star request. I need a flashlight for dark and emergency situations. Blocking the screen with ads and begging for ratings is unacceptable. I uninstalled the last flashlight app that did it and found this one. At the time, this app did exactly what I needed. It turned a light on and off. Something recently changed. Now I'm uninstalling this one.

Loved this app for years. I had a five star rating posted. Paid for premium. Now it nags me every time I launch it, asking me to rate it. It used to load quickly, now there is a few seconds of load time, which isn't much for a game or a productivity app but is a lot for a flashlight I'm trying to turn on. The recent update has made this app frustrating. *** Tech support says this is a known issue with no ETA on a fix. It's been a couple weeks so I'm looking for alternative apps. Disappointing.

It was good, a little buggy, annoying you had to turn the flashlight on to dim it- but I still loved it. Then they put in ads. I'm not going to wait 5 or 30 seconds to turn on my fn flashlight. Uninstalled immediately. I'd be fine with little banner ads, I totally get it. But full screen VIDEO ads that you have to click away? Ridiculous. I can find an open source flashlight app that respects the people who use it, or just write one myself, or just copy the code I like from this app off GitHub.

Recently added ads, and premium costs $15 a WEEK. Yes, A WEEK. Scum behavior. Either the app was bought out or the Simple team has lost their way hard. 2 stars because it still creates light and so this review is less likely to be auto deleted. Edit: and now the ownership has replied as if this is normal when they know that the intended business model is to have people sign up for the 7 day free trial and then harvest $60 a month as long as they can til the customer notices. Scum.
