I like the app. It has a lot of great features and well thorough summaries for a variety of books. However, I am giving it 3 stars because for its price; there should be a lot more books. Especially in the fiction section. A lot of the books available are the same famous books you could find in any other app. Additionally, sometimes the audio summary goes from one summary to another identical summary. So its like listening to practically the same thing twice.

The summarised content, such as Cal Newport's Deep Work, or Brian Greene's 48 Laws of Power, is excellent. Shortform adds insights from related books and articles that really helps to clarify the information in the original work. Timestamps in the text would be super useful. Also sometimes the app won't pause when pressing pause in the notification centre or on my headphones. Given the high price I'd want some of the app's rough edges fixed before I paid hundred of dollars for a subscription.
