It's not really a good t my opinion. As a first-time user, I had my first payment yesterday, and I was informed that my payment was late when it wasn't. Apparently the way Sezzle is set up, if the payment system attempts to take the payment and is unsuccessful for whatever reason, in my case my debit card was locked at the time which is a safety feature of my bank with new accounts, and I wasn't aware of this at the time because I was asleep, Sezzle considers that as being late, which is BS!

This app is just terrific. It allows you to spread out payments on certain items some large tickets some small and you can decide for yourself how to set it up best for yourself. One hint I can give you to help out is that you're going to want to set your initial payment to your debit card that's required and they'll be a small interest fee on the first payment but if you attach the next payments after that one to your bank account there's no interest charge whatsoever.

I've had Sezzle for 3 years, and for whatever reason(not credit related,always had enough funds, etc), it never approved an order until recently. They start you off with a pretty low spending amount, and the more on time payments you make, the higher your tier will be, which gives access to more stores and multi-use cards... Haven't experienced any of the issues customers typically face with afterpay/klarna denying orders that are a fraction of the approved spend amount despite on time payment.

🛑 Liars! Set up, they basically collect information only to deny people with 680+ credit score. Wasted my time. Could only add debit card which you tack on an additional charge of $1.50 for every payment. You wouldn't allow me to add my checking account avoid the payment. Then wanted my social security number for additional verification. The second I touched the button I was denied. You're just farming information to Scam and Spam people! 😠 🚩No breakdown of how much you pay beforehand.

Refused to help me verify my account. Signed up with everything they needed to setup and cs was zero help. They said they would look into it. I contacted them back asking, "What's going on with my account?", and they came back with: Isaac (Sezzle Shopper Support) Thanks for your patience! Unfortunately, after review of your request, we are unable to validate you with the information provided and cannot proceed with your application. Never had a problem with any other app like Klarna or Affirm.

They REQUIRE you to purchase their subscription just to use their app. $18/month! You also don't get enough credits so by the time you pay off your purchases, a whole other month subscription is already charging you. Even if you try to cancel it the same day as it charges you for the subscription, there's "no refunds". No courtesy for late fees either of you ever get one. They're also $20 each late fees. Use AFFIRM instead. No late fees and NO subscription. This DOES affect your credit score.

So far so good, I had an issue when I first downloaded this app, but it seems to be okay now. I don't like the fact that there is a fee to pay your order with a debit card though. Overall, I actually like Sezzle and I would recommend, and I'd recommend using debit even with the fee, just easier to make sure your payment goes through.

I tried to switch my card from a very old expired card multiple times, and for some reason, it defaulted back to this card repeatedly, leading to a total of $45 in fees. This is more than 25% of the purchase itself! Absolutely outrageous and I reached out to customer service. And they just sent me a message explaining that the payment failed and offered literally no resolution. Why would I need to be told the payment failed when I am clearly aware of that? Very unprofessional.

Ugh, their customer service is awful! 😔 I paid for the $18 anywhere membership, but the reps aren't American, it's hard to understand them, and they're so unhelpful. They really need to improve their customer service, and people who reschedule payments shouldn't have their spending limits cut, especially since WE paid for that privilege. The membership price needs to be reduced due to poor customer service and long wait times. I'm basically paying $18/monthly to shop anywhere.

Installed the app so I could better understand my account, and got an email where I could claim $5 to spend. Issue 1: Clicking the email link literally just brings you to the app store, even after already installing it. Issue 2: If you try to tap a business in the app, it prompts you to... You guessed it, pay for a subscription. I have to pay just to pay? Ridiculous. Also, when you try to tap on a business that ISN'T one of their 'premium' choices, nothing happens. Do NOT recommend. Useless app.
