I enjoyed the many audio books I've listened to while subscribed to this app. My biggest frustration with this app is that it would just stop playing at random...and very often. I always had to stop the tractor or mower, removed gloves or whatever to turn it off and back on again. It got to be so frustrating to me and it seems I am not alone in this issue. Comparing what I like to listen to with other apps, I learned I had other options to hear my same interests without the $13.00/month.

Completely unusable. Used to love this app when it was Scribd. Recommended it to countless friends, called it "Netflix for books". It was semi cost effective when you had access to multiple books for your monthly $12. Now you get one "unlock" and all other books are locked. Including older books. Everything is locked until your next "unlock", or you pay for more unlocks. How is this a viable business model, Everand? I might as well switch back to Audible. Very disappointed.

I just got my 30-day free trial & unlocked my first book with no issues, so that's a plus. The ad I saw claimed to be better than audible, which is big for me because I love audible! If you're here because of the same ad, then let me just tell you it's NOT! Whatever books you unlocked are available to you as long as you're subscribed to them. Audible gives you credits with your monthly subscription. The books are yours to keep even if you decide to cancel! That's a big difference.

In addition to being unhappy about the new plan changes... I am frustrated that the app has major audio issues on my new phone (Moto G 5g 2024 w/ Android 14). The audio is crackly/jittery. Audible and Spotify are working just fine on the same phone... so the issue is with the app. Looks like I'll be switching to another service. I can no longer recommend Everand. UPDATE: Over a week ago a rep posted a link for me to report my issue to them. I did that immediately. I have not heard back.

I signed up with them before they switched up there plans so I stayed on the old plan. It was relatively good. A little wonky but they are small and growing. I had a few books on my list that you needed credits for and my plan didn't include credits.....so I switched to a plan that does and that's where I went wrong. I thoughts I could keep reading the books that were included and just unlock the ones I wanted to read with the credits. Nope! All my "free" books locked up and now need credits!

I used to love this app for years: unlimited audiobooks. But the new plan changed everything. Previously saved books are now locked if you switch plans, and while some books remain accessible, they're hard to find without a proper filter. It feels like a betrayal of loyal customers. I referred many friends and clients to this app, but now I tell them to look elsewhere. It's disappointing how corporate decisions prioritize profit over people.

Not a good app. There are tons of bugs when listening and not user-friendly. At first when you could listen to whatever you wanted. I looked passed the problems and paid for it but not with the price change and restrictions to unlocking titles. Really not worth it. Rather just use audible where I own it after paying for something.

First I was frustrated because I kept searching for books and they would come up and be locked. Then I read about the new subscription plan and it seemed like a good deal. Everything I was already able to read plus one unlock a month for a new, more popular book. The yearly price was even a bit cheaper than last year. WRONG!! The second I changed subscriptions all of my saved books that I was able to read before changed to books that need to be unlocked!!! So sad. Will most likely cancel. 😞

Updated- still very disappointed. The company has not made things right as they responded they want to. They point out the reasons for changing and will do nothing more. I feel they are unfair and dishonest to take my money and then not support the subscription and service I paid for. Highly disatisfied. Proceed with caution.; Very disappointed with subscription changes. Very limited book selection now without the need to pay more to unlock titles.

Used to be the best book app out there. I read and listen to a lot of audio books. And now that they switched the plans to be like audible and everything else, it's not worth it. I would have gladly payed $16.99 a month if I could have kept my unlimited reading. Hell, I'd even pay $20 a month to have the app the way it used to be. Now it's just another sellout money hungry app that doesn't care about the customers.
