2025-02-03 | Update 2/3/25: It has now been a year and a half since I spent the time to get on the phone with their technical support team and walk them through a bug in the Android app. The cost basis screen when selling a stock, still has a bug that inserts a comma into share quantities (that can't be accepted). That issue, along with more than have appeared (phantom notifications), are making this app rather annoying.
2025-01-29 | App is good, but I've had an issue occur twice now and it's frustrating. from the app I'll submit a buy request for an equity and go through the whole process and submit. Then go on with my day thinking it's a done deal. then days or weeks later I'll check my account and not see the position, nor any record of the order. SUPER FRUSTRATING. it's as if the order vanishes once I hit submit. Doing all my trades from my browser from now on.
2025-01-23 | Disappointing experience with their external account connector—it consistently fails to pull accurate balances on secondary accounts. Despite reporting this issue multiple times through the app, the only response is to call customer support. If I wanted to call, I wouldn't have reported it via the app. Relying solely on phone support for resolution is frustrating and undermines the purpose of having an app for convenience.
2025-01-22 | The new update to the list view is a step backwards. It now lists the gain/loss under the day change. There's already a gain and loss tab one swipe away. Decreases readability for each security when the user experience has followed one paradigm for years. Why not show the day change on the gain and loss screen? Inconsistent UI for what
2025-01-16 | It's ok, does most of what you need it to do but not near as much or as well as the computer based website. Biggest complaint is that the advanced charts on the stock profiles work like total hot garbage. Half the time, they don't work at all. The other half of the time, if you add indicators, it won't let you remove them, and then it will stop working. Only way to reset the chart was to reinstall the app. Disappointing to say the least, since stock charts are pretty key to equity investing.
2025-01-08 | The app great but website terrible. They have no feedback anywhere so you have to tell them here. On the website you can only see change % or change $ but not at the same time! Same thing with gain. Can't see both $ or % at the same time. That is absolutely crazy- you need to see them both at the same time! You can see at same time on the app (great) but not on the website!!! This needs to be fixed ASAP!
2024-12-31 | I use the app for standard banking. Works well enough. I like that it's a mobile friendly version of their website and not a dumbed-down mobile platform. Deposit checks is quick, but the auto sensors seem off the last few months. On a pixel 8. Tells me I'm too far away, then too close, then it's too bright, but be sure area is brightly lit & automatically turns flash on. It would be nice to have the "manual" mode as a button so i can just skip to it right away - app has no issue with my photo.
2024-12-31 | It's getting a little better, but the Ameritrade app was so much better. It's nearly impossible for me to open the app and in a glance, see what stocks gained and retreated the most for the day. There's no "combined view" with all holdings from all accounts in one list. You can't easily do any stock research (earnings history, revenue growth, debt, etc)
2024-12-31 | Update : Wow, the TD app runs circles around this for being more intuitive and geared to compact necessary information in one space. I have finally realized that this app is not designed for trading on the fly. Use Thinkorswim for this. Only good thing since Schwab took over is that now you can access all your accounts with one sign on. 12/31 - Realizing now that the app gets bogged down and doesn't refresh prices as fast causing me $Ks in losses. May have to choose another platform.
2024-12-21 | The app is still lacking substantially what TD had. Some of the "improvements" are making things worse. For instance, they introduced a change to the positions list that adds a new value, I think is gain/loss, but it doesn't match up to the gain/loss tab. This new value squeezes the font size to be even smaller. I wouldn't complain if they gave you the option to customize that setting, but they don't. There doesn't seem to be a way to reach their support from the app to ask for help to fix |
