| 2024-10-19 |  | | I still have my original Dark Tower game from the 80s. I also have the game on my iPad. I have an android phone and was excited to find this game. I know it's not the Dark Tower game I was use to playing, and was a little excited to see what this new version was like. Well, I must say I'm highly disappointed. Instructions are hard to follow. It's very confusing. And the COST of the things you need to buy just to play the game? You ruined a fun game. I'll stick with the original board game. |

It could do with a "tutorial mode" with hints etc. for new players, particularly with the 2nd printing and expansions that just came out. I would like to have it installed on my tablet and my phone, but am unsure if it would save games and status history across both devices. Finally, I would like to see a shared mode as well where players have their own app and join the game. Mobile devices are private. |

That being said, I was dejected to see just how much the game had changed. But the one thing despite the 5 hour play time it took to figure out how to play the game properly, was "WHY DOES IT REQUIRE TO HAVE GPS ENABLED ON MY PHONE BEFORE IT WILL ALLOW ME TO CONNECT TO THE TOWER??" Also hoping to see local wifi connect with multiple devices so players can use their own phone when it's their turn. Voices, sound effect and narrations would be added enhancements to improve the game play. |

It's easy to use, though the pips on the encounters (regarding advantages) is not easy to understand and required a YouTube video to assist. It could certainly use a tutorial of some kind. It works well in the game though and adds a lot to the experience. The connection to the tower was instant and connected again fine when changing batteries. The tower itself needed new batteries a bit too often, but it's not the fault of this app. |
