I've been using Samsung Music player for almost a decade I have dabbled in others like retro music player which is also great but has its own problems this is the first music player I have fully switched over to using as my default thanks for such a great experience I look forward to what's to come P.s. a beta version would be a great addition UPDATE: well after 2 years of full-time use material you on the app does not use my colors anymore just defaults to regular bluešŸ˜¢

Superb app. Few things that is missing is tag editor function for changing album art. Also, is there a way to make folders appear at the bottom instead of the "hamburger" menu? Why does the home screen disappear after non use for a day or two? Other than those issues...it's a good app. Sound quality is better than blackplayer. **Update** Love this app, love the new Material You widgets. However with the new update, the Chromecast integration now has a big to where it will not stay connected.

Well made simplistic app and it more than gets the job done! There's just one annoying bug in Android 14 where (no matter how many permissions are granted and how many times the app's reset) the app can't access any destination folders. The workaround is to create a file folder (from inside the app), then move your audio files over into it.

Beautiful! Offers all the features I use or want to use. The only thing that's keeping me from giving it all stars is the fact that it frequently disconnects from (and often cannot find) my Chromecast Audio. So when I'm streaming to my stereo system at home, I'm having to use other apps. Believe me I don't want to do that!

One of the best looking, fluid and full featured offline music players, yet it's unusable for me. 1.Back gesture closes app from any screen; 2.Folder tracks are only sorted alphabetically which makes it imlpossible to play a full album in order; 3.Crashes on some hi-def files (some other players do that too); 4.Casting - its just not stable and it crashes all the time; 5.Can't edit tags on certain file formats. So much potential but app seems abandoned and left with bugs/missing features.

Probably the best music app on android but I would like a few niche/qol features: Oto can put together lyric lines that have the same timestamp, useful for having lyrics in 2 languages. It would be nicer if we could have multiple SYLT blocks for lyrics in multiple languages and cycle through them (or long press to select from available languages) Same goes for titles. It would be much easier to search songs titled in different script if they could have 2 titles, one original and one romanized.

This Music app is amazing! Simple, yet powerful. It's got tag edit, lyrics search, lyrics edit, and cast! I've been looking for an App like this for ages, as in fed up with streaming services, raising prices in the regular and taken away artist and sings I would always listen. Self host music is better, and this app helps you with that, by streaming your own local (phone) music to your Chromecast devices!. One con, the UI could use a tiny more user based option to customize.

Pretty much perfect. Only thing I can say is more customization for the "now playing" screen! Some suggestions: Left-alligned titles like Spotify, Better control on blurred backgrounds (Make them brighter, darker, more blurry and less etc) , And a better seekbar design. Maybe something like an actual bar shape (Apple Music & Poweramp seekbar) I would love a sleek, modern and beautiful Oto Music. Its amazing though, I prefer this over PowerAmp cause its very easy to use and edit files. 5 stars!

JUICE BOX: A Better Gameplay Video
For the love of Ares, please let this app find the music on my phone!!!! Even after several scans and multiple troubleshooting on DIFFERENT DEVICES, this app still fails to find music that is right in its f%ā‚¬king face! For Pete's sake, even the audio function in video players do a better job at finding my audio. This app is the perfect description of Form over Function... A glorified Golden Trash bag.

I really liked the app at first. However, I started getting some weird crackling on a few of my music tracks. I tried changing Bluetooth codecs and using different headphones, but the issue persists. The track is a simple MP3. I tried reaching out to the developer but got no response, like other users mentioned. I paid for a premium version, and sadly, I can't fully enjoy my music with this app. Otherwise, the app is good, but what's a music app that can't play music. Have to switch to other app
