| 2025-01-31 |  | | The entire point I use this app is for the radar which they said they had in the ads, but i not sure if it's actually in the app, I can't even find it, if it didn't have a crime map it would be 1 star and I would usually give 4 stars but I dont want to benefit false advertising, and nothing is showing on the crime map on most of the states. It might be broken. |

I've disabled notifications entirely through Android because it didn't respect my selections. Update: I couldn't stand it anymore. The notifications and e-mails just kept coming no matter how many times I unsubscribed. I uninstalled the app and am now sending all messages from them to the trash. |

This app delivers news in detailed yet concise forms that are easy to get sucked into. I usually rabbit hole three or four articles before I realize it. There are too many ads and pop-ups, making the app teeter on the edge of getting deleted, but that's my only complaint. |

For example, I don't care to know about the latest with Kim Kardashian, but instead of giving me the option to not be alerted about her, it only gives me the option to nix alerts from the article's publication. It's insanely irritating. "Cheap" is a great way to describe this app. |
| 2024-12-08 |  | | A common problem with news apps is the compulsive need to show large photos with every topic - so at most we can see 2 topics on the screen at once and have to mega-scroll to get through the list. This is not of value especially as the token photo rarely ties directly to the topic, it is just there to take up space. In this app the "trending" tab does a better job with 4 topics on a screen with just thumbnail pics. Sadly that is the only place with this view. Please consider a "compact" setting |

It used to be great, now it's went downhill so bad. I would not recommend it to anyone anymore, and I'm deleting mine. It's just not worth the hassle. You spend more time trying to beat out all the adware just to read a few words that it's REALLY not worth the trouble! |

Then they changed the privacy policy and started sharing my personal information, device information, location information and ID's to 3rd parties. I deleted the app immediately. My information shouldn't be allowed to be shared unless I want it to be! There's enough problems with scammers in the world and you want to add to it. |

It's like a weird mix of Facebook and Instagram under news stories. It prompts to share your life. A lot of scope creep here. Some things are useful. It is for the type of person who thinks "Smart News" is either, but is looking for even more ads. To make things worse, even if you decline notifications they will still be sent to email. This continues after deleting the app and requires an account deletion to truly stop the notifications. The developers have gone out of their way to hide the function to delete the account. Pure trash. |
