Much of the game is pay walled and some of the levels appear to have glitches that make them unbeatable or close to unbeatable. Good concept overall, they just need to fix some of the missions and make some more of the characters and their special gear available. Even if it's only through ads.

Fantastic graphics, smooth game play, good tutorials. Super geeked on the playability and the fact you can play absolutely for free (and progress) if you so choose. Hundreds of upgrades and a fun historical timeline campaign. The historical & military tech isn't 100% accurate but close enough that it's far from fantasy. This is one of the best strategy phone games I've played and is definitely worth the value of supporting the developers. Great game Devs!!!

Dog water honestly, its feels pay to win at the mid stages of the game due to the sheer amount of troops the enemy can just throw out whenever they want and now I'm fighting the golden horde for crying out loud as all I have is 5 units. Not to mention sometimes they don't even tell you the objective like how am I supposed to function?! Would like a custom general but aside from that this is probably one of the worst yet good looking easy tech games.

Many improvements could be done but as it is a cash cow, no improvements will be done. Great base game but IAPs affect too much of pacing. Many of the campaigns lack instructions and feels more like a puzzle which scales faster than the amount of money you earn in your paycheck. Not only do I not like puzzles, I hate it when the puzzle outscales me. All in all, I'm sure it's not the dev's fault but 6/10 rating.

The game has potential, but it’s held back by a few frustrating design choices. First, limiting each general to only three units really restricts the strategy. It feels like I can’t fully manage my army, especially in bigger battles where more flexibility is needed. Another issue is the slow pace of the turn-based combat. It drags on way too long, making the battles feel more like a chore than something exciting. And in conquest mode, not having a central command system is a real problem

The game is amazing. The history of each campaign is highly accurate. The campaigns are at a nice difficulty (if your troops are at least a couple levels above that which is recommended for the campaign and fairly easy to grasp. There are very few things you have to pay for mainly some of the best generals and bonus chests. I feel that more dialogue should occur in the conquests as the reoccurring lines are redundant and boring after your first few times playing a certain map.

TLDR: One of EasyTech's best Campaigns are totally awesome, although a couple have huge difficulty spikes out of nowhere. I'm currently on HYW 1. Conquests are peak. The base conquests have so much interaction, and challenges can get really, well, challenging. The PvP is my least played part but it is still cool. I've made no in-app purchases and I haven't even used war drums yet (I have about 1500), and yet it's super good. One of Easytechs top 3 games so far, can't wait to see what's next

Much much more free to play friendly than prior installments, with actual chances to earn medals everyday. My only complaint about the game so far is the blackmail feature on conquest mode. The ai just spams this towards me so much so that I'm at war with half the map by turn 8 or so. If you want to keep this feature I'd be ok with it but allow the player to use it and allow for easier relationship boosting so I don't have waste my valuable beginning turns spamming relations for every neighbor.

Great game, love all the generals you can get, the missions are okay, a little difficult until you level up your units, but there's plenty campaign missions which I was happy with. Conquest mode is my favorite, that's what I play the most, if you save up your little medal things you can get powerful generals that you would otherwise have to buy, I like that because alot of games don't give you that option, from what I see they are always adding new stuff, and fixing any bugs too. Overall 10/10:)

much like the rest of the franchise, solid ghost gameplay with the added bonus of more room and ability to customize playing styles and tailer the to the needs at hand in battle. I still believe that it's a bit ridiculous that you can't play as the heathen army in conquest. Another draw back is that as with the other games in the franchise, if you want the better of generals, equipment etc. you either have to grind or fork over cash.
