| 2025-02-02 |  | | Seems like it is more difficult to get things done as it were than the old Ingress when walking by. Hacking is still easy. Charging is somewhat easy, if it is below a certain amount then you have to back out of the charge screen, go to the main, go to inventory, scroll over to cubes, load one or more cubes, then reverse the process to get back to the charging screen. Would be nice if from the charge screen you could access the cubes. Forget attacking that takes even more time. |

Edit2: the bug where the game 'forgets' account data every day or 2 seems to keep returning after being fixed for many months!! Revised down to 2 stars Edit 1: niantic have released a few updates: it's still slow to start, but now the game runs smoothly if no other big apps are open (Chrome, SoundCloud,etc) & if Bluetooth is OFF. Recently returned after a couple of years away but the game is quite slow even on mid-range phones. |

Android users can try using the hidden developer menu, Samsung users can also use the game Launcher app for a much better game experience. Granted, I am using a Fold 6 on T-mobile, and have zero issues. Signal strength issues happen, but that isn't game related. Hope this helps. |

Niantic, you've got all this Nintendo money now; spend some of it on fixing Ingress. Oldreview: Slow to open, constant lag during gameplay, and in short a MASSIVE downgrade in user interface and playability from the previous rendition. However, power cubes and inventory management are things of beauty. |

A perfect example is yesterday, suddenly the app says it's no longer compatible with my phone (Google Pixel 7 Pro), resulting in me not being able to continue my daily play badge and losing my streak. Well the steak is officially broken and this app is sadly uninstalled. |
| 2024-10-10 |  | | I was an avid player from 2016-2019, attending/organizing events in my area and travelling the region to try to do as many missions as I could. It was a huge part of my life and I made a lot of friends. But it's just not the same. Every now and then I load it up and hope to feel that urge to get back into it, but the new UI is cumbersome, there's too much added stuff that seems to add no real benefit, and no one is really playing in my area. I sound like an oldie, but I miss the old Ingress. |

Go ahead and default it to On each time you deliver a new release, so when I'm in turning on Adventure Sync for the umpteenth time, I can turn off animations. |
| 2024-08-15 |  | | Started playing this game in 2014 but never really deep dived into what was going on or how to play till recently and 10 years later I'm at level 4 and catching up on everything I missed over the years but so far since I started actually playing its been interesting trying to figure out whats happened. This game requires you to get out and venture earth so if you can't move around too much it's slow to progress. |

So most of the small numbers of new players end up joining whichever team is stronger in the area that play, increasing the poorly balanced teams and pushing more players out of the game, in a vicious circle. Niantic also fails to enforce their own rules, leading to an increase in players who just ignore the rules entirely. I would never recommend a new player to pick up Ingress. Also crashes several times daily. Would rate lower. |
| 2024-07-04 |  | | Editing the review here to say that while said security measure is still in place I have been able to get back on the game. Niantic Support has not been helpful at all and as a result of this whole ordeal I have canceled my CORE subscription with them. Hopefully the changes they make help the agents and doesn't stop them from playing or detract from the user experience. |
