That's probably due to the model number of air conditioner I have, but it should and provide sometimes visual cue that those features are not supported on my model. instead, they look fully functional but just don't do anything.

Its been a week that i've had the Ac.. havent even opened the remote packaging, so i thought what the heck let's download the app and just use my phone as a remote. The unit is more than enough for my room so it cools up right away. As im typing this i just got done configuring the app and it was easy. Took me 1-2 mins. Im going to enjoy turning my ac on from work
