Needless invasive permissions required with no explanation as to why. Application is not very intuitive, and needlessly complicated. App keeps wanting to search for device when started (and often does not find it). App should make the hardware simple to use, but it makes doing conceptually simple things unnecessarily complex. I say this as a software engineer myself.

this app SUUUUUCKS. It's like they made an app, said "it's done", and never looked at it again. No swipe to change songs. In USB, can't manage playlists, can only add single songs onto playlists, if you import premade playlists you cant add to them, must be new. Cant add what we want onto the remote for presets, only limited playlists, artists, songs can be added from Spotify, not a quick preset for USB or Plex. Bluetooth and Chromecast don't show album art, my 7 year old car stereo does that.
