This app wrecked absolute havoc on my phone! I thought I was going to have to do a factory reset or my phone was going to "brick". My phone kept restarting and crashing over and over. I did all the basic stuff, making space on my phone, clearing caches, nothing worked. It wasn't until I restarted my phone in safe mode which confirmed it was an app causing the issue. It wasn't until I deleted this specific app and restarted my phone that my phone has gone back to normal and fully functional!

I am thrilled by and addicted to this app. It is extremely rich in features and content. Most important to me is the opportunity to learn to understand a speaker, something you cannot get adequately from other systems. My main criticism is that the user interface for the app is confusing. I still haven't figured out what some of the numbers and symbols mean. Another problem is that there is no way to slow down the audible reading when you're in single-sentence mode

I've been trying to get rid of my monthly subscription to LingQ for about a year and a half now. And they've stolen hundreds of dollars from me. All because of their unusable and difficult system they've created to unsubscribe from their plans. Each and every month I've tried canceling my plan and it has said "changing to free plan next month" Without missing a beat, it has charged me each and every time. There is no customer service. I want my money back.

this is probably the best app for learning another language. lots of room for growth, but mainly on the content side. It works best with both audio and reading content, and so much content is unavailable due to copyrights and electronic protection systems as well as untranslated or unrecorded audio in languages other languages than the original.

In terms of the actual app, it's really good and I like the lessons. However, keeping absolutely all translation functions behind a paywall is ridiculous. Without the subscription you can barely do anything. You can't view a word or a sentence translation. All you can do is listen to the audio. You're not even able to copy and paste the text into another app to translate. What's the point if I don't even know what I am reading? Price point is too high for someone from a third world country.

If you use this app every day, you will learn a language. I can now read entire paragraphs in French after a relatively short amount of practice time. After the first couple of months of acquiring many of the common words, reading becomes very fun using this app. You don't have to switch back and forth between a dictionary and the original text. The definition is right there when you click on the word. It saves so much time. You can add your own text and audio files to the app, too. Great app

素晴らしいアプリです。自信を持っておすすめできます。This app, along with the LingQ Importer Chrome extension, has been a game changer in my long journey of learning English. I think LingQ has improved dramatically compared to how it was in 2021, and I truly appreciate all the effort that’s gone into making it better. It’s now the only app I consistently use. My favorite feature is the ability to create lessons from MP3 audio. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to level up their skills through reading and listening.

The app in conjunction with the website is for me a uniquely useful tool. I can import into it texts that I care about, containing vocab I want to learn. For instance, I easily imported the entire Dostoevsky novel Бесы and am reading selected parts of it in the app. The app pronounces words aloud

This is an amazing app. I get so much value out of each lesson, and the fact that you can watch videos you've imported from YouTube is a game changer. Update 2 years later: This app is still amazing, and has even helped me speak better somewhat "automatically" (that is, without intentional speaking practice) after even just a short period of using it intensively with difficult texts and audio for native speakers.

Literally useless unless you get premium which is more expensive than most other language learning apps. Free users are limited to 20 "LingQs" which, even after you remove them from your list of vocabulary practice, doesn't allow you to learn any more words! 20 total! If this app was serious about teaching you a language, it wouldn't restrict you from doing so after 30 minutes of use. This app is only about squeezing you for money. No thanks, Ditty! Honestly, just download Language Transfer.
