2024-09-25 | instead of drawing new icons, maybe it is time to add new words to the app. i see lots of new words in a french drops but not in this one. moreover, it has been 4 YEARS, start to add the articles to this app, there is no point in learning a language without them 🫠
2024-09-05 | I like that app i tis really helpful to learn so fast . It is funny so you will not get Bored when you re learning and it is for all the levels you can Just pick the level that you are like beginner , advancer... I like it . You should try it
2024-03-16 | I started Swedish lessons yesterday and I've been using the app for 20 straight days, of course my swedish is almost non-existent but I understood everything in class because i have already seen it here. If you can AND have time for more than 5 minutes I would strongly recommend you to buy the premium versión. Of course you need to search things on your own, but i think that the app is nicely developed and i love all the different modes it offers, such as practice dojo. Thanks and nice work!
2022-11-09 | As an extra boost to learning vocabulary, I reccomend drops! But, I can't stress this enough. This is not a suitable replacement for flashcards, but a supplement to them. Since you rarely have to think or type in the words yourself, it feels more like a game than a true study session. You have to pay if you want longer than 5 minutes a day. Here's my advice, wait for a sale (there are many) and get the lifetime membership. I reccomend this app, just be realistic about the results is all.
2022-07-02 | After a week of use, I have unlocked many topics to learn new vocabulary. I love the communicative approach to learning as the vocabulary is organized around useful words and expressions. The way vocabulary is repeated for consolidation is helpful and not at all boring! Well done Drops team 🤩🤩
2021-07-28 | Drops is a good app for what it is. That is, increasing your vocabulary in a language. However, it should NOT be your primary method for learning a new language. It doesn't teach senstence structure or grammer and overall doesn't really challenge you enough. Alone, its not going to do a lot for you. Alongside a more complete method such as a more substantial program or a teacher, its great to have.
2020-06-03 | Good to learn new and exercise words and topical vocabulary. Wish it had the articles for the swedish language. Love the design of it. Very simple way of input, just swipe. Does not occupy your whole attention. Like to work with it to relax, when am tired and don't want to type ansewers myself. Even with a premium membership progress might be quite slow only with this app alone, due to the beautiful but slow animations, transitions and effects. It's also a bit on the expensive side!
2020-05-05 | It's a fun and easy app to learn new words. My few complaints are that sometimes the pronunciation is a bit off, as if speaking with an accent, and the audio volume varies from word to word (some words are being pronounced very quietly so I have to turn the volume up, but then the next word just screams into my face). Also, I came across one word (light switch) where the audio was completely different from what was written, and that messed with me. But otherwise nice app.
2020-04-23 | Catchy & interactive, with several different ways to help you remember. It's also personalised and selective in the sense that the player himself makes the distinction between learnt and new words, focusing on the latter. Hence, the app does not force you to go over things you already know. Two problems, however: 1.No clarification on "en" and "ett" words (developers can add them before each word without pronouncing them) and 2.No access to already learnt words (which is the point of the app)
2019-08-02 | This app has been enjoyable and I like the game aspect of it. However, there are two things: first is what everyone says, you need the Swedish article (en/ett) or you're only learning part of the word and will struggle later to use it (bending will be hard). Secondly, I met an early error I want to mention for fixing: "brännskada från solen" is in fact not how Swedes say "download". |
