it helps fill in the gaps in learning individual words by topic. while duolingo helps more with grammar in a sentence structure; these 2 put together help accelerate my progress in spanish

It's ok as a supplement to some more serious study. You will not get grammar or pronunciation explanations. It's vocabulary and short sentences--that works for me, but beginners could be confused. This is Mexican Spanish, which seems to have some slight differences in pronunciation than the Latin American Spanish I did in high school. Pronunciations are sometimes too fast. Sometimes wrong (EX: they say "una" when the word begins with "la") undecided if I will continue this app.

Drops is a fantastic vocabulary learning app. I love that it uses simple images rather than just words to teach you the language. Great for visual learning and spaced repetition. I prefer this app over the majority of other language learning apps when it comes to learning vocabulary and phrases.

So far, so good. It's definitely optimized for a mobile phone experience. Not sure if I will keep it as it appears to be geared only towards the very beginners. Update: Still using after several years. The pictures are sometimes very vague and difficult to identify. However, it's good for vocabulary.

Best app we've found for learning vocabulary. We are even using it to help some of our Mexican friends learn English while we use it to learn Spanish. There is one issue I've noticed. Sometimes when finishing one frame and the next is a listening exercise, the vocal for the listening exercise starts too soon and speaks over the answer from the previous exercise so you have to tap it again to hear what it says. Other than that, it's fabulous!

It's an interesting app but not what I'm looking for as someone with an intermediate level of Spanish learning as a baseline. It's odd, they ask you what your level of Spanish is, I said intermediate, but that didn't seem to put me at an intermediate level in the app it just started out with some simple food vocabulary. With only five minutes per day on the free version I'm not sure how this could get better and doesn't encourage me to pay for premium.

Love this app!! They have a simple system of connecting words from your target langues to images of the object, much like we learn how to speak as children. Everything I've learned so far has really stuck with me, especially since the goals are bite sized and the flexible streak system allows me to go about my life without being constantly dissapointed that I couldn't keep a streak. Likewise, the ads are only only after lessons, and there's no requirement to spend money. No annoying notifs too:)

After trying several apps, this is the best by far. Even if you dont know a single word in another language, this app does a really good job to teach the basics for those who are willing to learn. Does a great job with word pronunciation, also. The match the word to the picture does good to permanently visualize that object to the word itself. In all if you want to learn another language, this is the app to get! 5/5!

It's great! Im a super visual learner and I love the design and the way they teach the languages. Although, some words such as "me encuentro con" should be explained more upon, because con means "with". Same as el niño, which also means child, as well as boy. Basically, some words just need more explanation. Other than that, a wonderful app!
