| 2025-01-04 |  | | Somewhere in the last updates the app has developed some serious issues: the settings when writing are no longer accessible. The settings on the top and bottom of the page when writing on a document are underneath the functions of the phone (ability to change the doc title are now under my wifi/data/etc, and the bottom settings are under my home/back/running apps buttons). They're unresponsive to touch and I can't seem to change settings for my phone or the app to fix this. Please address. |

I continue to try new apps when I see them - they all claim to be The Best lol - but they never are. Some have more bells & whistles, but that's not what I want. I want Highly-Functional, but Simple. Basic but Effectively Up to Date. Sometimes, Less really is Best. |

I've been using this for 10+yrs and now an Android you moved all the settings to the bottom so I cannot access them as the minimize, back, and square button overlay it. It also stopped scrolling so after so many words the keyboard blocks me from reading what I've typed. Please fix this! |

I used to love this app. Write in it everyday because I enjoyed making stories, but once I got a purchase for whatever the hell and swapped phones, I can't get any of my stuff back. I gave up, and started making more, but trying to get back my original account AGAIN, I lost my second round. Hate this app, thanks for the waste of time |
| 2024-08-28 |  | | Almost lost hours of writing as the UI of the laptop (windows) version of the app doesn't even have a simple undo button, nevermind any previous versions to restore. Had to search for an older version in my google drive to retrieve my work. Nothing on FAQ to help, chat bot was clueless. Tables added scale horribly, very rigid, limited text wrapping and doesn't save correctly. All the text format compatability is not worth the poor practicality. Found myself wondering why I paid for this. |
| 2023-03-18 |  | | Update 2023: I can no longer support this app. I paid for the creative version which was lifetime. Now the app wants me to pay a monthly fee. Nope, not doing it. No way to restore previous purchase. From 2017: I spent a few days looking for an app that would export to RTF so I can share it with Scrivener on my PC, but was disappointed with what is out there. They were all too Microsoft Office like, i.e. bloated with too many options; or not enough options. I just bought the creative version |
| 2023-02-07 |  | | Very upset. Read a couple of articles which said Jotterpad is great for writing novels. Love the typewriter feature - I bought premium. I should have done more research. So Jotterpad doesn't support .docx and .pdf - fine. But after importing my work which is just shy of 300k words, I found out this app is useless for my purpose of editing. First of all, it takes me 3 seconds just moving the cursor to where I want it. And then it takes another 5 to 10 seconds (so far) just to see what I typed! |
| 2023-02-06 |  | | Hold on... I'm not sure how I paid for a writing app only to come to find out I can't even align text. Like yes, I get removing distractions. Text aligning isn't a distraction. It's basic function and core to writing almost any documented. How is simple text alignment missing?? Im not sure if this a joke on the part of developers but it needs to change. |
| 2022-12-27 |  | | I love this app, I've used it for years. But there is a consistent bug that has been present for a while that hasn't been fixed. Sometimes, backspacing will delete your entire work. Thousands of upon thousands of words and texts lost isn't worth keeping this around. One star until this issue is fixed. I've had this app on every phone and the backspace will continuously delete my work on each phone...please fix this. |

I'm tired of having MY WRITINGS or what's mine period held hostage, taken, or deleted because they changed what I already purchased thinking it was for a lifetime. Now I'm on a very tight budget and can't afford the subscription that they switched too. So frustrating and disheartening. |
