2023-08-12	Josue Hsu	Dishonest app. It took over my home screen and hijacked the Settings app on my phone, so that whenever I launch Settings, it would show "News Home Settings" instead of my phone's Settings. Took a while to find out how to uninstall this app (I had to uninstall it twice; the app was still lingering on my phone after the first uninstall attempt).
2022-02-24	Gary Palmer	DO NOT INSTALL!!! This app literally takes over your phone if you go with recommended permissions. It changes your home screen and slows down your phone. To uninstall you have to go to settings, apps, find News Home, remove permissions and turn off notifications. Last step to remove is to unset it as "default". It's so horrible I would consider it malware.
2021-11-15	Mike	I simply can't. I wanted to give this a try but it's far too invasive. I need an app that I can tap it's icon, and open it up. I don't want an app that overrides my entire phone, changes my entire user interface, my icons, removes my side scroll app to replace it with its own removing my Samsung tv and news features from the user interface Installing this app was like playing 52 card pickup with my phone. I could find no setting to return my phone to normal, so i had to delete the app.
2021-10-15	Dan Sperduto	Love the reporting but stay away from their app. It totally took over my phone. I mean it changed the look of all other icons, replaced my clock, weather widgets, text app, etc. It doesn't even look like my phone screen anymore. I'm deleting the app and hope everything returns to my original look. Again... I support them but NOT their app. Terrible. I thank the developer for responding to explain what happened. Suggest making it clearer in the app to prepare people for what could happen if the wrong selection is made. I've modified my rating from a 1 to a 3. Love the news and info without the censorship.
2021-09-26	S Whitt	This is malwear. It added a bunch of apps to my homescreen, reset icon sizes and layout, and placed advertisements on everything. I was not able to uninstall it or the apps it added. I could only force stop them. I ended up having to do a factory reset on my phone to remove it. Please look at the positive and negative reviews here. The negative ones all report specific things that the malwear does. The positive ones are all generic one liners most likely from bots. The 4.5 stars is fake.
2021-07-07	David Fileccia	I was in my accuweather app looking at a severe weather alert when I noticed a rewind play and fast forward button at the bottom. I thought, COOL! I can listen to the forecast. So I opened it and had to install the news app and it changed and took over my entire phone! Everything was different. It was now my hone screen and everything. Very invasive! Horrible horrible app!.
2021-07-05	Dawn Burhans	What the h$%$! I installed it and it took over my entire phone display! It left place holders for my Google calendar widget and the weather widget. It wanted to create new widgets. It changed the look of all the other ones. It wouldn't allow me to uninstall it directly from the phone, had to go through Goohle Play store. All I wanted was a cleaner way to get breaking news than things lines Newsbreak or Flipgrid that look like I entered trash rag prints.
2021-05-03	J Holstead	Terrible!!! When Setup was completed, the ap took over the function and operation of the home screens; changed icons, rearranged icons, removed some icons and widgets. Extensive changes! I was alarmed by the behavior of this ap, and went to uninstall immediately - but I couldn't - the ap removed access to traditional "Settings". It took about 10 or 15 minutes, but I finally figured out another way in so I could uninstall. Once uninstalled, everything went back to normal. DON'T CHANGE MY PHONE!
2021-03-28	Paul J. Hughes	Be very aware that this app comandeers your phone and becomes the first visual all the time, making it your "home" page. It rearranges your app pages and navigating to other apps becomes a chore. So tell me, would news be the priority of an app that does this? I think NOT. Trying to uninstall was also a chore because navigating back to the install page provided no uninstall feature until I repeatedly opened and closed the app page.
2021-03-08	Matthew D.	AWFUL!!! Completely took over my device. Added features that had NOTHING to do with news; like a games link on the home page. Changed my home page to its own. And, I couldn't change anything on it. So, I'm uninstalling the app to be able to use MY phone. CRAPPING app... I wish I could give it negative stars. REPLY TO DEVELOPER: Thank you for your time and response. I simply deleted the app. That fixed it. I would suggest you explain the behavior of your app more clearly for future users.
