Installed, set up to use volume button to disable. Locked the screen and couldn't unlock it. Volume buttons did nothing but change the volume lol. Also, it doesn't really lock the screen. You can still press the go-back buttons and pull down the notification bar and press anything in there. So the kids still accidentally mess everything up while running around with the phone while on a video call.

Didn't work. Could still pull down settings menu and make all kinds of changes, use gesture controls (swipe from edge to go back). My little one was able to do all kinds of things while locked.
