I never did get the self guided walking tour working well. The app seemed to think I was rotated 90 degrees (app said west when phone was north). I found it easier to use the cached Google maps with GPS to locate myself. Plus the cached maps was with satellite on making it easier to move around. The free version was ok as it at least provided locations of things to see (though not much in Tijuana). The stamp feature is interesting. At least the app is geared for walking.
