Every competent file manager updates/refreshes continually in real time to consistently and accurately to show what files are currently on my device. The fact that I had to restart my phone to see a file I just saved is beyond insane and worthless all at once. Fix this. The second I save a new file, I should be able to see it in files. That's how functional file viewers unilaterally work.
