| 2025-01-25 |  | | To make a very long story short - stay as far away from this app as possible.... when and if it works, it's only after dozens of attempts to get the app started, connected to the GPS, and bluetooth connection.... just about every time try to use it.... I have literally wasted hours of time..... all of the Garmin units I have are headed to the dump..... |

I previously gave a low rating because it stayed running when you were finished with it and required a forced stop to quit. That now seems to be resolved, and I have adjusted my rating accordingly. |
| 2021-09-14 |  | | When and if... I get my phone to pair with my Dezl, it makes it randomly freeze. As if it was saying: hold on, I'm talking to your phone. I'm a Car hauler. I'm overheight, overlength and overweight. The whole reason I bought this GPS was to get live immediate traffic updates and reroutes with those "over" values. I can't have a GPS that randomly freezes like this one does. So now I have all the wireless features turned off and use it side by side with google maps. |

Out of the box my Dezlcam was able to navigate and some of the features worked, but like a lot of these ratings are saying, the app would not connect. Then my techie kicked in and went "software compatibility issue" so I updated the device on my home wifi and my androids IOS and VIOLA, it connects flawlessly. Even has some ok features BUT (my reason for 3 stars), 4.99/mo for all of the useful features? NO. The device was 570 dollars |
| 2021-03-23 |  | | While the app has potential it makes listening to bluetooth music useless. The music constantly breaks up and skips especially when navigating. Too bad. Update: Through some trial and error I discovered that I needed to have the hotspot on my phone off when using bluetooth. All works perfectly now. Great app to use along with the Zumo 396 LMT-S |
| 2020-03-04 |  | | 2020 update... Tried again. It did send info from Google Maps, but the Latitude and Longitude were off by 1.3 miles. While trying to figure out what happened, I tried the coordinates again and it dropped a pin in a different incorrect place. It was perfectly correct in Maps and Waze. 2017...Terrible app. For starters it would be nice to share a location found on Google Maps. When trying, it says "unfortunately, the app cannot handle the object you want to share." Seriously, what decade is this? |
| 2019-12-15 | | | Positive: Traffic updates and re-routing options. Negative: Can't be turned off when not needed. It apparently does not stop when Force Stop from the app's properties is selected. The only option to kill it seems to be to uninstall it and only install when needed. Edit: My rating decreased because I have found out that this app drains my battery to 0% even when my phone is plugged in to a 12V vehicle charger. I had it running so we could get there traffic information. |
| 2019-08-19 | | | Uninstalled from my S9. I thought it would be convenient but it is not compliant. It just sits there trying to connect and can not be stopped. I tried to Force-Stop the app and it refuses to close, even with Bluetooth turned off on the phone. I should be able to stop it when I want to. The occasional use of the traffic part of the app isn't worth having to charge the phone more often. |

After poking around the file system and not finding anything unexpected, I checked the apps list in Settings and, sure enough, this app had 20+GB of "user data" stored somewhere I can't see it without root access. EDIT a month later, I'm uninstalling this after my phone ran out of space for a third time. This is completely ridiculous. *What is it storing??* |
| 2019-07-13 | | | The app is great when I'm using the Garmin but when I'm not using it, it runs continually on my phone. I only use the Garmin for occasional work trips, so I dont need it to run all the time. I turned off every permission possible in the settings and it still showed "active" on my phone using my battery and data ( I think). The only way to keep it from running 24 hours a day was to uninstall the app :( |
