This App is a plugin service. It uses sensors, location to record data from smart watches straight to your phone, TV or Tablet. It does not give information to 3rd parties to gather data. It is purely for you to use, operate and monitor your digital wellbeing. I use a smartwatch through the App to check my heart rate, blood pressure, Water levels and even records my sleeping patterns. Records your steps walked daily. Perfect for long distance runners and fitness fanatics.

I just remembered one thing after reading a load of ratings I had transferred my old data from my old phone from the smart switch a few years ago and that is where the ant+ came from and I was unable to remove it after the smart switch I have the s20 ultra 5g now but I did the transfer from a galaxy s7. And now it is saying I can uninstall it that could be a plausible explanation for the random appearance when it's updating or if you connect to something and not even realised that it required it

I don't use smart watches ect. This should be an optional separate download for people who use those devices. Btw, Google will force disabled apps to turn on. They use Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and data to triangelate your position at all times including sniffing in your personal information, texts, phone etc. I have multiple times turned off Google apps permissions only to come back and it's turned back on especially collecting your contact list. Anytime you create a new contact they turn back on.

I'm in the process of cleaning up my phone buy removing old apps. I have been doing this all night had to do a master reset over another phone with carrier technical support still having issues I got to this ANT app and disabled both of them after that my internet data stopped working couldn't uninstall any more old apps till I updated them both. I will finish uninstalling the rest of my old apps the go back to them and see what happens. If it happens again I will contact technical support. PTS

Either blatantly lying in description or just can't do math. "For example, on a 16GB phone, this service takes up 0.0013% of space." Um no. 20 MB is 0.13% of 16 GB. Still a fairly small number, but not THAT small. Over a thousandth of your phone's storage going to something you don't even use?? Come on. Sorry, but I don't trust software written by someone who lies and/or can't do basic arithmetic.

Actually works very well. I wasn't sure what it was for or where it came from, but after Google'ing found out it is pretty important for connecting some of my wireless devices such as fitness trackers and watches. It's a pretty slick app that operates in the background, with low overhead.

Bloatware! This "app" gives itself permission and access to your phone. I have gone back and forth turning off the app, clearing the data, and turning off all the permissions it gave itself only to go back and see they all magically turned themselves back on! This is where your info gets leaked to overseas scammers.

I was just curious about what apps were installed on my phone. I've had this phone for at least a year. I'm not tech savvy. But I KNOW THAT I DIDN'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I can see that it was (probably) installed at factory. But what is it for??? I can't use it. How can I rate it? Can this app provide remote access to my camera? Keyboard? Phone calls can texts, etc??? BAD IDEA

For those who don't know what this is. Ant is short for antenna. This is the software that the device uses to manage its ability to transmit and received data via 3g 4g 5g etc with out it your phone will not function as fast as it is capable of. Would be nice if the description explained this better to avoid user confusion.

NO STARS !! Forced to give a Star !! I do not need to use any fitness monitor or connected watch device, and therefore do not want/need this software. If/when i do choose such a device, i will download if/when needed, please allow choice here, i am not ( luckily) in Russia or China, so stop forcing updates. Most of all, let us choose.
