2025-01-28 | An upgrade to an app should all ow long time users access the app, without having to pay more money for a phone. It should long time users access to the app, based on previous app access. A lot of app upgrades aren't particular upgrades consumers need to review their account and pay their monies due. If i wanted to do more I would log onto to the desk top application.
2025-01-27 | The only reason not to allow customers to set up auto pay until we receive our first statement is in hopes that we forget and end up owing a late fee. Citi, Capital One, and Chase all allowed me to set up my payments immediately. I'm also realizing that Discover doesn't list due dates or statement dates anywhere that's accessible on a new account. I'm sure they make a lot of money in late fees this way. Predatory.
2025-01-20 | When ordering, there was no way to check cost for shipping, and if by accident I put 2 or more boxes down when I wanted one. I am writing before concluding my order. I have always been pleased with the ordering process used by Amazon, but this one is obfuscation seemingly to cause mistakes. If this evaluation is wrong, II will be delighted to see a clear invoice to double check before sending the order.
2025-01-03 | What on earth did they do to make the app no longer compatible with my phone?! Was a great app until they did that. It is extremely stupid to make the app no longer compatible with older androids. You're literally limiting your own clients. That is the dumbest move they could make. Almost enough for me to stop using discover entirely.
2024-12-30 | I'm very disappointed with the Discover mobile app. I've been trying since yesterday to access my credit card account but it states "technical difficulties". I only have access to my checking and savings accounts. When I sent a message to them I swear they didn't read my question and gave me a totally irrelevant answer. Perhaps AI? I hope they get this resolved quickly.
2024-12-29 | Paid part of my balance. The payment didn't show in my activity, my remaining balance didn't update, neither my cashback so I tried again. The payment went through both times an now I'm overdraft on my checking account. There is some kind of glitch on the app. The state of the balances didn't update in the front end. Now I have to wait several days to receive a check while my bank keeps charging me overdraft fees.
2024-12-25 | The new update makes the app unusable because it's now "incompatible" with my device. It's just great that Discover Card tech people decided for me that I need to buy a new phone (I will NOT be doing that) just to keep using their app....which worked just fine before their "update". When I called and asked them to fix this, they just said I need to login and use the web version. Well, the whole benefit of having a mobile app is NOT being tied to a computer in order to keep tabs on my account.
2024-12-22 | Did love this app for years -- got a discover card back in 2021 -- but now suddenly new update and my phone is no longer compatible?? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8+, I do not consider it outdated by any means. HUGE detriment to my ease of use. Discover, please still take care of your huge customer base that cannot shell out insane money for new devices, and/or have "old" devices that still work perfectly so replacing them, even if able, would be a waste of money and resources. Fix this!
2024-12-19 | The app was amazing up until recently when they updated and it lost compatibility with my phone. There is absolutely no way anything that they added for "security" could be so demanding of my device for it to result in my phone (which has never encountered this issue before with ANY app) losing compatibiliy. Revert the changes.
2024-12-06 | Update: RESOLVED! Back to 5 stars. Good job, Discover! Original: I'm an IT professional and I use DNS filters to prevent apps from tracking me in ways I do not desire. It has worked fine for years. But the latest update has bricked the Discover app; my home Wi-Fi is now classified as an "untrusted network." My American Express and other banking apps continue to function normally, but apparently discover has decided I must let them track me on my home Wi-Fi to use their app. Not okay, Discover. |
