2024-11-06 | **SPOILERS** Very fun, very difficult. However, it seems a bit buggy at the moment. I've already gotten rid of the vampire, the foreign queen, the princess, and the mirror, but they keep coming back no matter how many times I defeat them :/
2023-01-29 | Great concept, incredibly compelling and captivating in the beginning. The music, atmosphere, and plotlines, and characters are great. But, things do get repetitive very quickly, and if you're a completionist trying to see every card and unlock every death and title and ending, that repetitiveness quickly turns into annoyance as these evade you. This game is here for a good time, not a long time.
2022-07-28 | A great time killer...but not mindless! It's more of a resource management puzzle game. You pick options not necessarily because you want them but because you need the resource it provides (or takes away). It's all a balancing act. But there are certain times where you need or should pick an option for progression or to solve a puzzle. Lots of practice and your reigns might start pasting a while. Such a neat, simple at first on the surface, but more complicated the longer you play. Love it! ❤
2022-06-24 | This is really fun! I love choose your own adventure titles, and the backstory and hidden quests make it interesting. I give 4 stars because of a minor design flaw; the game does not have an efficient way to pause, and when I swipe up to access menu items on my phone it makes a choice in-game, kinda annoying. If there was a way to pause or freeze the screen the game would be perfect!
2022-01-18 | It's a nicely balanced game with interesting mechanics, but I have some bones to pick. It's difficult to understand steps you are supposed to take to advace the game, especially since many events happen every twelve life cycles. Some story cards happen only once, difficult to differentiate between them and normal ones, and gives little room for not choosing right. The ending was very underwhelming and extremely vague, it's an unsatisfying close. And the AUTO ROTATION, it's an absolute pain.
2022-01-01 | Game auto rotates even with screen locks. Have had bugs where the texts goes off screen. Sometimes you have no choice but to die. This is really a game you can only learn by playing it for a bit. I wish the dots at the time told you accurately how it will affect your stats. It gets very repetitive if you don't follow the walk-through, especially when the story line isn't very clear.
2021-12-26 | Lost a star bc idk if I'd recommend this game to anyone. I didn't mind paying 99¢ for it on sale and it is a good game with a lot of unique content but it is so similar to a free game Lapse that I 100% recommend. It's really difficult to get far into the game as it's easy to make a choice that accidentally decides your death and if I didn't die so often or could somehow see that the decisions were going to negatively or positively impact the stats it would be I0× more enjoyable.
2021-11-17 | This game desperately needs to be updated to not render text off screen and fix the terrible controls (game hides the navigation bar but the swipe gesture to bring it up swipes cards too which can mess up your game) and lack of mid game saving (game only saves on the end of each reign). Game itself is interesting at first but the randomness hurts it later on where you have to play a lot hoping for the card you need to come up before a cheap death. Feels overrated honestly.
2021-09-06 | This is just an awesome and unique game! You can set it down and b pick it right back up at any point also. It's got a puzzle type vibe that's challenging but not so hard that it's frustrating. Imo, the bits of info you uncover as you progress build upon the plot filing in holes while creating new questions, so you get satisfaction and a continued interest. The characters are also all super entertaining and I want to meet them all! It also has quite alot of content! Great job!!
2020-09-17 | If you liked the original Reigns, then this is very similar, except you can hold items this time...and upgrade them. I admit, it eventually had to Google a few of the final steps to unlock the "true" ending, but the game was fun all around. It's a good time-waster, for sure, and I'm always happy when a game has neither in-app purchases nor ads. I think I got more time and overall enjoyment out of the first one, but this is a worthy sequel. |
