2025-01-10 | Really fun combat. There are some aspects that could be explained sooner as you'll unlock things before the story Missions decide to tell you how they work and the currency for upgrading is gained way too slow for the cost. I'm worried it's going to get grindy soon and become a cash grab but so far I'm enjoying.
2025-01-02 | I really like the game. interesting story, character arcs, graphics etc. Downside - Lots of bugs. Game crashes constantly. Battles are grindy, and controls aren't very responsive. Language goes from English to just scattered gibberish and symbols and the game then needs to be reset on occasion. edit - Game still crashes after about 5 mins of play. Usually when trying to switch boards or after a battle
2024-12-09 | Big fan of Black Pearl Games and Brutal Street 2. I've been patiently waiting for the full release for years. Now I know why! I'm not sure if Home Planet Hunters is the spiritual successor, but its a 1000% upgrade on every aspect. There hasn't been a game in years that use the strategy mechanics here, I've searched. I'm really happy you guys continue to create awesome games. This one is a banger! Hopefully Brutal Street 3 is somewhere in your plans!
2024-12-06 | It's pretty cool. I think the paper-doll equipment is a very nice feature to show the on-screen characters, though I would have liked the pixels to not be rotated and more hand-crafted. The music is very Firefly so kudos there. The exposition gets in the way of the game - I'm looking for adventure in bite-sizes; I don't have time to read through this stuff. I would recommend tighter scenes or a spinoff actual graphic novel. It seems like the world and story are quite rich and worth telling
2024-12-04 | The cost for talents needs to be dropped, or onyx gathering sped up. I'm overlevelled for some of the elites (mutated vine), but you kill it, and have to squish the pods. Can't kill it fast enough. Then it respawns, the vines drain you faster, it should be more like the slime monster boss. The cost of the gear upgrades should be dropped too. 9 levels of gear upgrades is fine. If the requirements were halved, or gear drop increase to speed up the levelling.
2024-11-22 | Really cool mechanics and lovely graphics. The stories and how they visualize the scenes are cute and funny. ~~~ For me, the negative part are the microtransactions because they are insanely pricey, at least in my 3rd world country. 🥲
2024-11-15 | Quite underrated, although with in game purchase, and the price is slightly higher for some items. It's grindy if you opt as F2P, yet it's quite fun and not as complicated. After tried a few new games like Ash Echoes etc, I ended up only keeping this. Looking forward to new contents and gameplay.
2024-11-15 | I've seen some other games in the similar vein but nothing comes close to this. This game just takes everything to the next level with the personalization and identity of the characters and their gears/skills, the setting/lore and background, the crisp, fresh and stylish pixel graphics, the content and even the cutscenes! This is the result of adding in that extra dev effort and soul into an existing subgenre that really rejuvenates & elevates it to a higher standard. I can't wait for more!
2024-11-12 | It was nice, but can't recommend it. I'm stuck on the crystal Rain battle because of glitches, such as he stops being able to be targeted. All because it's a long artificial difficulty battle. The messy English is also glaring. Would rather have an arcade styled experience on the switch, because phone games will die eventually, which is a waste of the game's esthetics.
2024-10-31 | It has a really immersive story, and sub stories. Graphics are a bit old school. The music isnt annoyingly repetitive. battle mechanics are simple, engaging and strategic overall im impressed. Lots of gear, and each has their own charm. The ads are optional. And they didn't cram a "please rate us" in my face. The devs seem active on reddit and discord. I'm really looking forward to getting in deeper and hope the updates keep this recipe of "mobile master piece" I suggest ya try it yourself. |
