The light is nice but the app is unuseable

The app works fine, but will refuse to work if it's not given location data. If you're already connected and turn the location permission off, the app kicks you off the device. The app gives no reason for why they need access to your location, nor file system for that matter. It just gives a nice "we promise we won't do anything with your info" message, but doesn't say why it wants it
