2024-11-12 | This thing is a dental tool on my ear drum. Constant firmware updates, trouble connecting, often disconnects when it does finally connect. If this was just an offline only controller it would be fine, but I got this controller and app for the remote control capabilities and here it fails. | ||
2024-11-02 | This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Will not connect to Bluetooth. Every time I use this I have to spend 40 minutes trying to get it to connect. Suddenly it connects, but then drops again. Another 40 minutes uninstalling, installing, trying to pair. I am done. There has to be something less frustrating on the market | ||
2024-01-26 | The most inconsistent, unreliable app I've ever used. Unfortunate, because years ago when I purchased the unit, it worked fine. With required updates, it's rolling the dice as to whether or not I'll continue to be able to access and use my device in any capacity. The hardware is exceptional. The software may sour you on the entire experience. Support is hit or miss, often asking customers to wait for the next update. | ||
2023-10-06 | The app and the controller it "connects" to are pure garbage. I've owned it and argued with it for several years. The firmware updates briefly restore operation, but the default state of this system is: broken. As others have stated, it routinely drops or refuses to connect to Bluetooth. The app regularly crashes when attempting to change settings. The pit temp. control mostly works, but lately even that will not respond to the displayed pit temp. Don't buy this system. | ||
2023-02-14 | Garbage. Do not waste your money if wifi is important to you. It will just frustrate the hell out of you. It will say it's connected when it's not. And customer service will send you useless instructions to try to fix it when you contact them. Fact is, the device doesn't work, and no tinkering you can do will fix it. Expensive paperweight. | ||
2022-07-17 | The app will connect to my phone. My phone BT and WiFi are connected but won't download the firmware. I just receive the "whoa partner" error. Have Uninstaller and reinstalled countless times but can not get past this issue. Give me my money back until you figure this out. Looks like its been many months since you were advised of the issue. | ||
2022-06-19 | I bought the DynaQ for my Primo Oval 400 XL. Horrible. I believe it's all software-related but it defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place. I have to continuously force close the app and restart it every 5 minutes to make sure it's reading the correct temp. Last night it was reading 200 when it was actually 275. Fan was wide open. It is ruining my food. I bought meater probes because the food probe was so faulty. Now the food probe reads 194 when it's not even plugged in. What a joke! | ||
2022-05-03 | This app simply doesn't work. The UI is also poorly designed. This is my second controller from you folks (I have an old DigiQ). My primary reason for upgrading was to be able to control via the web without having to fool around with port forwarding. After reading your return policy I understand I can't return this controller (which works well in manual mode). Your good product is being ruined by not being able to support the app that's supposed to provide remote control. | ||
2022-01-15 | Awful. Only thing it does almost right is keep the fire at the correct temperature. Ramp mode doesn't work. Was expecting the fire to ramp down but instead the fan kept running and the pit temp was held and the meat over cooked. The alarms don't work at all in the app. I set a timer and watch it go off and no sound. All of me sounds at 100 percent. The cook alarm doesn't work either on the app. At the pit the alarm works. It connects to share my cook and wifi. No record option. | ||
2021-11-13 | When I first started using this app it ran seamlessly. That was 8/2020. Now I am unable to get the wifi to connect. The Ultra controller shows that the wifi is connected but when I go to the 'Share My Cook' site it shows my device is not connected. App also only shows that controller is connected via Bluetooth. But controller shows wifi is connected. It's frustrating! |
