2025-01-29 | It's a nice app with potential, but it is still quite buggy and doesn't have a lot of features yet. Suggestion to developers: it would be nice to have customizable widgets or even shortcuts that one can put on their home screen
2025-01-20 | The light bulb has a mind of its own, I turn the lights off and suddenly it starts changing colours, and more about the changing colours let's say I put the colour to pink why does it go to green after a second. The old app was way Better
2025-01-05 | Bought an eglo ceiling light which is supposed to be compatible with Alexa via this app. When I try to link Alexa app with this app, using my AwoX log-in details, it keeps saying "Bad credentials" on the Alexa App. I can't even control this ceiling light with Alexa.
2024-11-27 | Why would I need to create an account to control my local lights?? Preposterous. That should be optional for the features that actually need that. And now get this: I need INTERNET ACCESS for the app to start!! This is so incredibly privacy intrusive, I don't know what to say except for... you know what.
2024-11-25 | Original lamp lost connection too often. The app often didn't connect to the lamp. Company sent me a replacement, the newer generation. Am Now satisfied.
2024-11-19 | this app controls the awox lights. however there are still a lot of bugs. lights always defaulting to max power after cutting power and the remote still does not work, even after multiple resets and latest firmware etc.. but it seems to be becoming slightly more stable over the past year... I managed to get the lights to remember the last known state through the last firmware and then an additional reset! Great work!
2024-10-23 | After logging into my "upgraded" account, the app crashes. And now I cannot even use the old app, because that account is gone. Tried reinstalling but that doesn't help. Lovely.
2024-10-19 | Not sure why, but the app requires device location, even though Bluetooth is the only connection needed. Why does it need to collect information on my location? Also, the app has not worked for some months now. Probably a bug in some update. Tried 3 different phones and it just hangs on splash screen at startup
2024-10-12 | Garbage. I will switch to HUE or Ikea. The app told me to upgrade to this new one and even this one is buggy. Doesn't recognize all of the old remotes....
2024-10-08 | I bought Eglo smart plug plus. And to my surprise this app don't even support the smart plug plus. So I had to install old version called smart control. There the plug is identified but it is not connecting to my home Internet and the connection is aborted in between. Hence no choice but to return it. Unless developers work on it and integrate it correctly |
