2025-01-25	Lakshmi Priyaa	Very worst experience... New version can't be updated in television. The notification is popping on the screen before von is turned on..after turning on couldn't update it.. till now couldn't update it and its not working now.. waste of money.
2025-01-24	J	Expensive but convenient (China) Worth waiting til black Friday sales, but once you add in other the extras (which should really be standard at this price!), it ends up costing a fair chunk of change. That being said, over my decade in China, I've tried plenty of alternatives, but this is the only vpn that just works, 99% of the time, without any faffing about with shadowsocks servers or running your own server. For ease of use and uptime for users in China, this is hands down the best.
2025-01-06	keith doble	After a few months of working great, it barely works in China. It also wastes a lot of a person time because it will say connected, and then there is no internet connection, so you have to continuously open another app to test if it actually works. Worst of all is, they make the 2 year subscription lucrative with discounts, but now it's useless after just a few months.
2025-01-04	Jane Sees	Astrill is absolute trash now. They've been "experiencing unavailability of the Openweb and TCP protocols in certain regions." for almost half a year now. They even had the audacity to chastise their customers telling them that support had no idea how long it would take to fix so stop asking. I was unfortunate to pay for another year just before the issues began. On my Android phone, I spend most of my life having to "force stop" the app just to disconnect. Don't waste your money on this company
2024-12-28	Kyle Madruga	Used Astrill for almost 10 years mostly in China, but the last few months the PC client has been horrible, not worth the high price anymore, will find a new VPN if it doesn't improve again soon.
2024-12-14	David Li	Latest version has openweb down and a lot of servers have inconsistent speed. Also having trouble staying connected. Have to disconnect and reconnect to be actually "connected".
2024-12-11	Carson Keyes Jr	There are a number of alternative VPNs that provide comparable service at a fraction of the price. With each passing year, Astrill raises its subscription cost yet fails to justify it as there are no discernable improvements to the program.
2024-12-11	Pete O'Sullivan	Used to be great in China, now it's trash. Been using it for almost 5 years, up until August '24 it was reliable - the most important aspect of a VPN in China. Now (December' 24) I spend as much time on my phone app trying to get it to work as I do using it. Have given up on using it on my PC as it's usually 30 minutes finding a usable server that stops working after 5 minutes. Not disparaging Astrill, it happens to all VPNs here. It had a good run, but it's over.
2024-12-08	Борис Смыслов	Constantly crashes, lately doesn't work. I have a paid version with paid private IP address and even though it works (but crashes a lot) on PC, it stopped working on my phone yesterday, December 7, 2024. I don't recommend this app for the phone.
2024-12-08	Sandreen Strachan	Astril was the best vpn ever until around March 2024 when I got back to China. Since then I have to be disconnecting some of my devices or changing servers rapidly throughout the day, restarting my devices, changing protocols or just hoping things will work... I've been using this vpn since 2020, absolutely no issue, recommended it to many of my friends and now this!!!!... I really need a better option now!!!!
