I like that it actually gets me to practice speaking out loud when my tendency is to just practice in my head (bad habit and shyness lol). I do wish there were more tracking/progress markers for the vocabulary side. But overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. |

| 2023-11-14 |  | | The pitch accent analysis doesn't work very well. I tried saying things completely wrong (understand, the opposite of what was required) and still never scored less than 80%. Having said that, the vocab seems useful and the recordings are good and you can still practice pronunciation even if the analysis doesn't work. So I might keep the year-long subscription. Edit: The analysis simply doesn't work. Among my 80+%-scoring attempts were some where I said the phrase in a totally flat pitch. |

The pitch accent training is extremely important, and this app does it's job very well. You can playback your voice, listen to native speakers, and see what accuracy your pitch is in a clear and concise way. The phrases provided are practical as well. It's a clean app, and it has a clean interface. I'm N4 level, and it's extremely helpful to me. |

It won't go passed the initial screen. I've tried updating the app and contacting them, and nothing is being done to correct the problem. Save your money and don't get this app. Update: was given a 1 year subscription promo code but it didn't work and I was still going to be billed. When I contacted them regarding this, they ignored me. |

The intonation check really helps you understand how you pronounce the phrases compared to the correct pronunciation. It also includes real Japanese phrases that you don't want to miss.
