| 2025-01-27 |  | | The app and cameras used to be great but now you can't even open the app or view an alert without waiting on multiple noisy ads that are difficult to close. By the time you get to the app you've completely missed what triggered the alert in the first place. And now they want us to pay to override it? Not ok. Why can't they just insert ads into the page like on the home page instead of preventing the main use of the cameras? If not, I'll be looking elsewhere. |

Orienting the phone a different way completely messes it up so you can barely hit the back button I have to restart the app again. What is worse, they just randomly one day decided to add advertisements! That's right, I can't even look at the camera without watching an ad. Which is really frustrating since I want to look at something happening in the other room really quick and sometimes I completely miss it. Also sd card works intermittently. |

Now, there are full page ads for cartoonish games that are hard to skip when I just try to open the app. I've spent a lot of money on these cameras and I don't appreciate them trying to force me to buy a subscription I do not need. I'll probably have to find a new camera option now. They take more and more features away from free users. The ads are ridiculous. |

NOW IT IS 3 CARTOON GAME ADS BEFORE YOU CAN CHECK YOUR CAMERA! ... If you do not update when they tell you to it would stop the ads. (Nice little hack) ... NOW if you refuse to update, they completely sign you out of the software. Forcing you to sign in and update, so the new ads can take effect. "Que the copy and paste free premium response" |
| 2025-01-24 |  | | Years ago this was a pretty functional app with cameras. Now you can't even watch your 6 second clips. It tells you something was recorded but doesn't show you anything. The more updates they release, the less functionality they give you. Stay clear of this brand. Pay more for exceptional service from other brands. EDIT:Newest update requires you to watch ads before the app opens. Glad they have security in mind when you need to view your cameras as quick as possible or to be able to speak. |
| 2025-01-23 |  | | App used to be good. Now I can't open it without a full page ad running for 15-30 seconds. Defeats the purpose of going to check the cameras. YI, you're seeing all these negative reviews about the ads. Maybe get with management and discuss options for other revenue or less intrusive ads or this application will be gone in no time. Nobody wants intrusive ads like that, especially for something as simple as a monitoring application. Please do better and fix your application. Cheers. |
| 2025-01-23 |  | | Very disappointed with recent changes to this app. When I open the app to view a camera I must now fight my way through multiple ads. Not cool when I'm trying to access my cameras quickly. I'll be moving to a different brand in the near future. Very unhappy, long-time customer. Edit - Yi responded to my negative review with an offer to pay for their subscription services. Really? That's your tactic? To render hardware essentially unusable unless I pay for a service I don't need. Done. |

I can't view my camera without watching ads and the ads get stuck and I am having to close and reopen. Super annoying. 1/22/25 Ads are brutal making viewing the cameral almost useless. | 2025-01-22 |  | | These damn ads are ridiculous! They last for about 1 minute & cover nearly entire screen view. I'll have to get some other cameras. In case of emergency or break in, I can't wait 1 minute to clear ads and then not be able to see them. Arlo doesn't do this BS! Terrible! It's like they added a virus called Ad Lovin App! Remove it!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would! |
| 2025-01-21 |  | | New intrusive ads won't let me see my baby!! App used to be perfect if you wanted live cameras but no storage. Now, ads pop up before the app opens & you cannot click through them, even if you get an alert for motion or sound!!!!! You have to keep closing the app and reopening it until it lets you continue! This is so unsafe for my baby!!! If they wanted to discontinue the free service, they could have just notified users, but the way they are forcing free users out is unsafe and acceptable!!! |
