Things have moved so that seeing basic information such as due date is hidden....requires several clicks...that sort of info should be immediately visible. It's as if they're trying to make one miss a payment. Also, the new receive a text code every time logging in is stupid. With every other sort of biometric authentication, does someone think you wouldn't be able to receive a code on the device you already have. It's annoying and useless.

Constantly having to login because the current session times out. For example I have 6 text messages for authentication codes from 6:18 to 6:41. If you want to pay your bill, review your statement and look at anything else on your account you shouldn't be logged out mid navigation. Then to make things worse you're not taken back to where you were after logging back in! It's the same when you're taken to the website outside of the app, like when looking at travel options.

I opened a business account im November, and I have been unable to utilize the app as I can not log in. I have received an error message saying that the system is busy every time I attempt to enter my card information. I'm very surprised, especially as a new customer, that a company of this stature has an app that is not working effectively.

Not a bad app. My only complaint that I know of is. I'm unable to open/ see what experiences are available to me. I click the travel and experience tab, and it requires me to log in on the website. Which still doesn't have the option. I called customer service. They sent me a link, and said the is operating correctly. Problem still isn't fixed. I deleted the app and reinstalled several times. Nothing helped.

This app was alright before. This recent update doesn't show your Available Credit. You now have to more details to see the current availability. It's also takes too long to allow you to select and payoff a charge. I'd also like to select all when selecting offers in certain categories.

This app is garbage and is an overall security threat to the people using it. The app is unable to send notifications to Android users, so I cannot see charges as they happen (and identify any fraudulent charges). Amex also has this horrible security feature called SafeKey, which has consistently prevented me from using the card to make a tranaction. The SafeKey process is completely broken, causing me to lose concert tickets and airline bookings. Don't use Amex for any large dollar purchase.

Used to be great. I used to be able to easily see my available balance, credit limit, etc. After a recent update, items were removed from the main page. Also, the new "one-time passcode"every single time you log in, is a hassle & useless. E.g., if someone had my phone & able to log into my app, they would easily be able to retrieve a text passcode. There's no way to disable it. Remember device doesn't work. At least give me the option! I'll update my review if it goes back to the way it was.

The new updated app devices you by showing only your total credit line in the front page of your account. In order to see your available credit, you will have to choose another part of the main window. This very deceiving way to rip people out of money. This may also cause you to miss payments if you don't pay care. I wish that amex removes this update and shows the available credit on the front page of the app àlike the older versions of the app.

Latest update is horrible. Now, the app saves my username and it's grayed out so I can't change it. It no longer allows me to autofill my password. No choice but to type in my whole password every time. Other banking apps have the option to autofill or enter a pin number. This one has become useless.

Handling accounts is very convenient, but when trying to book travel the site always signs me out due to 'inactivity' even though I'm actively searching for flights, hotels, etc. Super irritating when you're almost done booking something and then it just quits on you and you have to start over. This most recent time it did it to me I just gave up on it.
